The End Of A New Beginning is the first single from the debut album "Home" by Xan Tyler & Dusty Stray. Home is a collection of ten songs that explore the emotional terrain of endings and beginnings. Inspired by ideas of place, belonging, loss, and renewal, the album is as much about inner landscapes as physical relationships.

After years of long-distance recording in The Netherlands and Scotland, Xan Tyler and Dusty Stray were able to build something special. Home is the result of two seasoned solo artists creating together for the first time.

The End Of A New Beginning


During the first pandemic lockdown, Xan Tyler (based in Scotland) and I (in Amsterdam) sent each other new songs recorded in our home studios so that we could add additional instruments and harmony vocals to them. “Home”, the second single and title track of the resulting album, best captures the feeling of our first collaborative production. “Home” is an uplifting folk pop song about ends and beginnings, loss and renewal and ghost-like memories that linger in an empty house that used to be a loving home.
