Kizumonogatari Beat Battle

Hi! I'm Tymen. I don't really have an artist name or whatever - Dutch Fool is a nickname I used for all kinds of internet stuff.

I make beats in my room using a computer filled with samples and sometimes a synthesizer. If I have a long session of beatmaking my computer starts acting up and the rest of my life comes knocking at the door, so I guess I'm not much of a pro, but I'm fine with being an amateur. I don't like clean, slick producing, so I'm not too ambitious as far as that goes. I like dusty, purist, 'real' Hip-Hop, but I hope that that doesn't make me elitist. I like meditative, repetitive stuff, but I hope that incites a state of hypnosis rather than boredom. I prefer something superficially opaque, whatever that may mean, to something impressive and exciting. I deliberately incorporate noise. You'll see I'm inspired and influenced by J Dilla, Flying Lotus, Knxwledge, Burial, Raymond Scott, Dick Hyman, Delia Derbyshire, Wendy Carlos, Pierre Schaeffer and others. Hope you like it!
