Midnight in Egypt (Melodic House)

What looks like lightning arcing through an ominous cloud is actually a dry landscape of rocky buttes in southern Utah and northeastern Arizona. River channels flow north from Arizona into the San Juan River. The light vertical feature at the top of the image is referred to as Comb Ridge, a jagged fold in the Earth's crust called a monocline.

I approached this set with a clear vision for the dancefloor. I could see a hot summer afternoon, the suns rays casting light onto the dust as it rises from the earth, tribe stomping as one collective primal heartbeat, in the moment, together. Warriors of the dance floor surrendering to ancient rhythms.

This set I created for my Earth Frequency application 2021. Its been a very tough and challenging year for all of us and I for one cannot wait to get back to join our the creative collective of sisters and brothers at one of the best festivals in the world! Live Recording Ecstatic Dance Koh Phangan - Pyramid 2018

A very special weekend where the three legendary parties of the Tri Bay area joined forces to create a three day mini festival, culminating in a memorable sunday evening closing jam at Why Nam.. Any thoughts that the crowd might be a little tired after a long weekend of dancing were quickly dispelled when I kicked off this set in high gear and the dancefloor fuse was lit right away and didn't stop burning for the whole 6 hour set.. Euphoric, high energy house music is how I would describe this mix, which barely pauses for breath until a few hours in when it takes a turn into deeper territory before gathering steam for a pumping finish, so put on your dancing shoes for this one as it's a banger!

The latest release of Mousike Records; Ougan is the first album of electro-acoustic duo Z/ F. Ougan, which means priest in Creole language, is the title that contains the philosophical concept of the album. The authors take on the role of curadores, guiding the listener on a journey into the inner depths. Driven by the communicative power of percussion instruments, they recall the origins of humanity, the first rudimentary musical expressions and the need to relate to a higher entity. Slow grooves, scalene rhythmic textures, synth bass and deep kicks support ethnic sounds from remote regions, to create a shamanic ritual, a post global sonic exploration.

Welcome to the second Volume of "Unlocking the Doors of Infinity", a series of sets I am creating to help you go deep into your yoga and meditation practice! In this volume I invited my beautiful sister Hannah Cunha share some words to help guide you into your practice and into infinity. Hannah is an amazing human, yogi, and yoga instructor, famous for her wise words in her yin classes. Here are the words that she had to share for us in this episode:

"Notice the breath

Allow the breath to awaken what is often a dormant sense of curiosity we have when it comes to the body

The body now becomes our direct portal to presence

As the breath continues to move the body, what we do matters less than what we notice

Allow breath and curiosity to keep you bound to what can’t be seen

Layer by layer, breath by breath, we’re guided in, in the form of a slow unravel

Embodied movement asks the question: how much of myself is here right now?
