Unbeyond Anthologies welcome inductee Nycto to the label for her new track “Swanky”, alongside a trio of remixers both new and familiar.

“Swanky” is a bona fide trench heater, harkening back to the old days of the sub-genre with its thick square-wave bassline, and enhanced by Nycto’s signature spooky melodies.

On remixing duty is label head Scavenger, yeeto, and inductee Jztin Thing, each bringing a different flavour to the original.  Scavenger takes the track in a more lo-fi and haunting direction, yeeto doubles up on the classic vibes with gnarled basses, and Jztin Thing delivers her usual brand of frantic energy and spritely melodies.

Nycto said about the release: “When I created Swanky, I wanted to harken back to the classic sound of trench, with a decidedly darker theme. My main inspiration was probably the famous ‘Spass - Hi Tek’, a classic song that has stood the test of time. I chose the three remixers, Scavenger, yeeto, and Jztin Thing, because I knew all three of them had their own unique styles that would take the song in a whole new direction. Scavenger's unique basswork and sound palette, yeeto's classic trench mastery, and Jztin Thing's sporadic heaviness.”
