In 2014 Etoro Records released Plastico EP, his debut on the label, now El Traste is back again with “Musica Criolla” a brilliant 4 track EP with funky compositions, colliding more than ever his musical influences and orienting them to the club, the party.

Barranquilla born and now based in Bogota, the music of this Colombian artist combines Acid and IDM music with the Afro Colombian roots rhythms of the Atlantico region (his hometown) and the result is something unique.

As every year We have cover a broad spectrum of electronic music, listen to all the tracks, there must be one u like, love even!

Our compilation this year starts with Doble Redoble by Mexican artist Borchi, this tracks invites us to a celebration (what this compilation really is), percussive sounds and trumpets, samples, a New Orleans style street band, no better way to kick things off!

The second track is a sweet highlife lullaby from A.J. Holmes and Martyn Potter, “Baby’s First Christmas” hits all the right notes and makes us feel warm inside.

Track number three is Starbright, an open invitation for a love escapade under the stars by Many Faces the collaboration project of Isa GT this time she’s joined forces with producer Christian Castagno and the result is this dreamy song.

Violetred, dreamy percussive, somewhat futuristic with a steady build up Pana Li (Etoro Records visual collaborator) invites us into her atmospheric world of patterns.

Plectro sounds cinematographic, like the soundtrack of an action movie from the 60’s, the stabbing guitar, amazing sounding bassline pushing through, sophistication has always been a charactheristic of Veneno’s music.

Sonido Berzerk and Joni Forest from Mexico’s Liga Mexicana del Bass present us with Afrofuturo a bass heavy futuristic batucada.

Bailalo is a perfect beach jam, another sample of El Traste’s talent, fresh from his new EP on Etoro he’s contributed this awesome party track.

Moroka is back as per usual at this time of the year, we couldn’t be happier, Ease Me Up (Officer Abraham) really is a great track that brings so much sunshine to this album.

Arati is sounds ritualistic and like a controlled chaos, instrinsecate samples destined for the dancefloor, Pau Pahana at his best, creating sound collages.

Spanish artist Scooby Dub first Etoro released track is a catalystic Tribal Monterrey style, sub bass rich and powerful, 25 de Febrero.

Tio Solo also first release with Etoro is his debut single Leonhead, a tasteful synth disco track, in which Tio Solo shows us his love for analog gear. Keep your eyes peeled for his debut EP in early 2017.

And closing the compilation is Ethereal Sky by Siome, by now you’re probably dancing your socks off and that’s we want you to do with this classic style and high energy house song.

"0h85 - City Moves" is part of debut release compilation coming from San Francisco platform Samsara Beats that is well known for their mix series. "Syncopation", curated by fast paced beats don Johnathan Thomas and label owner HNGVR, brings together a group of their favorite producers and beatmakers from 10 different countries to create a track each, exploring the always fascinating world of Halftime D&B, Juke and Footwork-Jungle. 

Pittsburgh based Dj and producer 0h85 brings "City Moves" to the table, taking Chicago to Detroit in a powerful 8bits acid Juke meets Jit. The adrenaline in this one is big, imagery easily puts us in the middle of an illegal race driving or just a late night long ride with Big Sean in the background whispering "I make the city move". "Syncopation" is out March 16th for free.

Frente Bolivarista is proud to present the new EP - A Macaca & Gama - J'écris.

"J’écris" and "Break the Circle" were born out of a series of travels and meetings, connecting far away lands like Brasil, France, Tunisia, Greece, Uganda and Sudan.
 
In the hot summer of 2016 Gama and A Macaca visit Agartha in his small studio in Paris to record some ney flute and drums played by Agartha himself. He introduces them to Marianne Catzaras's poem "J’ecris" (literally “I write”), an alert, a reminder, a call, a message of hope also, for the people living wars, conflicts and exile. 

One year later in the middle of Kampala's rainy season A Macaca meets Winnie Lado and hears her poem “don’t call me a refugee”. She invites her to sing on Gama's production, the collaboration ending with the song “Break the Circle”, another message of hope.

Son 2 artistas que han tenido la oportunidad de publicar en sellos locales de México como Ten Toes Turbo y en internacionales como Car Crash Set, Knightwerk entre otros. 

PHSNWSKY inicia el rebote de este trabajo inspirándose en sonidos de la ola inglesa de lugares como Bristol y sellos como Hessle Audio, y en particular podríamos decir que con ciertas referencias a canciones como "Claptrap" de Joe. De aquí MATE finiquita la idea tratando de conservar la esencia primordial de lo que recibió para diseccionarlo en distintos matices. 

"Day Shift" y "Night Shift" son complementos de una paleta que fusiona las visiones de 2 contextos urbanos que distan entre si en los aspectos de lengua y cultura pero que se semejan y entrelazan dentro del contexto de música electronica global de la actualidad.

PHSNWSKY & MATE are 2 producers from Mexico City that have evolved in parallel in a circuit that combines the local alternative electronic scene in Mexico as well as a specific section of the global electronic macrocosm. These are 2 artists that have published work in both mexican labels such as Ten Toes Turbo as well international outlets such as Car Crash Set, Knightwerk, among others.

PHSNWSKY starts bouncing this idea around taking inspiration from sounds of a british wave of electronic music that can be found in places like bristol and labels like Hessle Audio, and even further we could say there's reference to classic tracks like Joe's "Claptrap". From here MATE finishes the idea trying to preserve the pristine essence of the material received to disect it into its various changes and progressions.

"Day Shift" and "Night Shift" are complements of a sonic pallet that combines the visions of 2 urban contexts that stray apart in terms of language and culture but become fused and assimilated within the context of current global electronic music.
