Dvinchi Kode’s journey is a testament to talent, relentless determination and perseverance. Born in Long Island, New York at a young age he had a mature and strong inclination for melody and composition. Music first became a reality singing within the local church in Queens, NY.  Facing the challenges of growing up as an adolescent in a ruthless city, Dvinchi was sent away to live in Jamaica at the age of 12 for misconduct. It was during those formative years that he began to hone his craft and passion.  Following in the footsteps of older brother, Nathan Salmon also known as Mirror, Dvinchi began to perform as a member of his group called Elite Souljaz.  At the age of 14, he wrote his first song while with the group and the rest is destiny.  Dvinchi knew that he was married to music for the rest of his life. Rapidly his budding career progressed, working with the likes of Anju Blaxx, U.I.M, MainSource & Free Willy Records. He became a co-writer for acclaimed reggae artist Ninja Man.  Dvinchi was also afforded the opportunity to work with Devonte from the dynamic duo Devonte and Tanto Metro, known for the popular hit “Everyone Falls in Love”.  Under the tutelage of admired artists, Dvinchi’s awareness broadened, he matured as a man and as a connoisseur of music.
Dvinchi would later return to the States to tread a path uncharted by few. While giving much homage to his reggae background, he walked away from a successful career solely dedicated to reggae music. With influences that include Stevie Wonder, Brian McKnight, Otis Redding and the Temptations Dvinchi could not allow himself to be confined to one sound.  Believing that music should reflect the soul he wanted to engineer music that was unique to him, yet relatable to all.  Working at radio station 89.9, both in Jamaica & NY, he realized music was universal and should go beyond geographical & cultural boundaries. Dawned with this tremendous task Dvinchi endeavored to pursue his educational career in Musical Engineering. Hoping that furthering his knowledge would refine his gifts as well as his vision. When forced to deny acceptance into his Dream University, due to financial hardship, Dvinchi knew he had to dig deeper within his music to find solace. 
Determined not to allow his disappointments to outweigh his success, Dvinchi was able to create a distinct musical voice that encompasses the cool Caribbean & rugged sounds of his Jamaican roots. As well as embracing the eclectic resonances of the streets of New York.  He declares that his music transcends stigmatization and labels: “Don’t try to put me in a box.”  Considered one of his greatest personal accomplishments, the new project, Eye-Pod 1.5 – Dawayicmusick reflects the universal sound that Dvinchi desires to capture with his audience. “Whether it’s the melodies or the hook…...I just want the people to walk away with something”. Really a labor of love all 16 songs are written and produced by Dvinchi Kode. It draws directly from his soul to the ear of each listener. Single Pray for Me alludes to the woes and wants of a man. According to Dvinchi it’s not just a man but the universal man & woman. “Men and women are more alike…both dealing with the complexity of love, like and lust”. The song portrays a man at a crossroad choosing how he would let love impact his future. Living up to his name, each song on Eye-pod depicts the lyrical ingenuity to paint pictures through word and sound.   
With “Don’t get comfortable” as one of his many personal mantras he’s looking closer into the Eye to see the future. He seeks to impart the fabric of himself in the proceeding generations. Dvinchi hopes to leave a legacy that echoes throughout the future that expression should be free. Not contained by any rules or schemes but should be a true reflection of the heart and soul. No mediator, just music traveling straight through the eye of the artist into the hearts and minds of the masses.
