Firstly, huge thanks to all the people that agreed to collab with me on this project, it was so cool !
I'm very happy to finally this project I've been working on for some months now, and which was very time-taking. I learn a lot while making it, and discovers new horizons, as you can hear with the fifth track for example (some sort of liquid d'n'b, a genre I recently discovered).
I really wanted to bring together the sound of phonk with the atmosphere and vibes of mallsoft into one thing, kind of "mallphonk", which is perfectly visible here in my opinion.
Btw, some may notice but both Dead Rising 1/2 inspired me a lot for this tape, from the name of the tracks to the sample I used. Those games defined what type of producer I am today; in fact, I mainly sampled DR music in my first attempts at making phonk. I encourage you a lot to play theses games, they are incredible and well made.

I'm still proud of this track to this day because it's my first attempt at making phonk that pretty much worked, as it still sounds cool (even though it's barely mixed and unmastered). I went ahead and try to reflip both the sample and the acapella of this track, leading to this new piece of phonk (and jungle because damn I love jungle dnb so much).

The Galileo Spacecraft launched the 18th October 1989, using the Space Shuttle "Atlantis". The main goal of the mission was to study Jupiter and its surrounding, while being the first ever human-object entering Jupiter's atmosphere.

3:01 | AROUND JUPITER
The spacecraft managed to reach Jupiter 5 years later, on 7th December 1995. While making its way to Jupiter, the spacecraft did multiple fly-bys of Venus and Earth, in a goal to use them to perform gravity assists. It also managed to witness a collision between the comet Shoemaker-Levy 9 and Jupiter, this being useful to the study of the planet.

5:47 | IO
The closet moon of Jupiter and the most active volcanism-wise. When it comes to Galileo, it did orbit once during its main mission, when entering Jupiter's orbit; though it was chosen not to take any photos of it in order to preserve the spacecraft’s tools. From its observation, Io is, with Earth, the only body which has a metallic core beneath the surface. Galileo did orbit Io in its later missions.

8:54 | EUROPA
The smallest moon of Jupiter which feature a surface made of solid water Ice. Thanks to Jupiter’s intense gravity field, Europa (and Io too) is subject to what’s called Tidal Heating, thus leading to the melting of this Ice a few kilometers beneath the surface. Many scientists think that life can be found over there. 

11:49 | GANYMEDE
Third moon of Jupiter and the biggest one; it has a size bigger than Pluto and Mercure, while carrying third time the water on Earth for comparison. 

15:16 | CALLISTO
Last Galilean moon of Jupiter, marked by dozens and dozens of comet impacts.

18:31 | GALILEO MILLENIUM MISSION
The Galileo space mission was planned to end in 1997; However, since it was still operational, two more mission were planned for it : Galileo Europa Mission (1997 - 1999) and Galileo Millennium Mission (2001 - 2003). This last one was focused around the study of Europa, even though most of the spacecraft’s instruments were in a bad shape thanks to Jupiter intense radiation belt; it still provided pretty interesting and useful data about Europa.

21:22 | FINAL COLLISION
 On 21st September 2003 the spacecraft was launch on a suicide-course into Jupiter, in order to put it out of service and to prevent any potential damage to Europa, damage that could mess up the potential life present on it. 
In conclusion, the Galileo space mission was more than a success; not only it managed to accomplish its main mission, it managed to do it without its main antenna which was stuck while opening while also surviving two other missions. This mission permits us to have more information about our solar system and to understand its genesis.

This tape is one of my biggest work yet; I've been actively working on it since January, in a goal to mix what I love: Phonk, Jungle and Jupiter. For those who don't know, I'm actually at University, learning Earth and Universe Sciences, in order to do planetology in long term. 
The cover is also done (and painted !!!) by myself, and you can clearly distinguish the 4 "big" galilean moons quoted before, as the Galileo spacecraft.

1. TITAN CENTAUR LIFTOFF, 1977
20th October 1977, date of launch of the space mission "Voyager 2", which was aimed at first for the study of Jupiter and Saturn. However, while outdoing the original goals, the space probe managed to realise one of the biggest dream of mankind : doing a Grand Tour of the solar system. Thanks to extreme luck, Voyager managed to reach Uranus and Neptune, the final frontier of our solar system.

2. A JOURNEY TO NEPTUNE
It took 12 years for Voyager 2 to reach Neptune; while it was there, it provided scientists unexpected reports and photos from that cold giant, which were crucial taking in account the fact that most of these informations were unobtainables from the ground. To this day, most of the data we have about Neptune (and Uranus) still coming from that flyby by Voyager done 33 years ago.

3. RINGS AROUND NEPTUNE
Like the other gaz planets Neptune got a vast rings system, even though it's simple as its satellite system. All arcs carry a name, in order "Fraternité", "Egalité 1", "Egalité 2", "Liberté" and "Courage". 4 little moons of Neptune are orbiting inside this ring system, namely Naiad, Thalassa, Despina and Galatea.
In fact, this track is a tribute to the track "Rings around Saturn" from Photek, from which I sampled the rain at the beginning and the break at the end. That's the track that got me into jungle/intelligent dnb, as well as getting me into planetology (without this track I may have never done Jovian System !).

4. LIVING ATMOSPHERE
Unlike pre-Voyager 2 thoughts, Neptune actually got a pretty active Atmosphere. Mainly composed of methane, helium and hydrogene. Neptune holds the record of the most powerful storms of the Solar System : Voyager 2 captured storms going at roughly 2000 km/h.

5. TRITON
Discovered back in the 19th century, Triton is one of the most mysterious moon of the Solar System. Orbiting Neptune with a retrograde orbit and being way bigger than the other Neptunian moons, Triton existence here is theorized by a potential capture by Neptune from the Kuiper belt just behind the planet.

6. A SATELLITES KILLER
The unusual form of the system, mainly composed of small bodies and by the important size of Triton leads to a theory which supposes that Triton collided in a lot of the "original" satellites of Neptune, and whether absorbed them or desintegrated them into thin pieces around Neptune.

7. BEYOND NEPTUNE, THE INFINITY
Voyager 2, after flying by Neptune, heads directly down to the ultimate frontier of the solar system. in 2018, the space probe finally left the Solar System by travelling through the Kuiper belt, revealing new bodies called "Trans-Neptunian Object", changing our look on Pluto; in fact, some of these bodies were way bigger than Pluto, explaining its category been changed to "dwarf planet".
Even with a distance of billions of kilometers, we are still able to communicate with the probe, though its electric generator is about to die, thus ending this mission.

This tape drop's date is the exact same day as Jovian System, 2 years ago ! This marks the anniversary of one of my favorite hobby in my entire life.
I enjoy making these beats and I've never been into something when it comes to planets and space exploration, so I hope that you will like this tape as much as I loved making it !
I approching very close to my dream of working on planets, if everything goes as planned, things will be smooth...
