Volume 1 of Planetary Assault Systems ʻDeep Heetʼ, released in March 2006, signaled the return of Planetary Assault Systems after a 5-year hiatus. The release of this second volume, exactly 5 years later to the day, marks the culmination of Slaterʼs Planetary Assault Systems tour that began in 2009 with the release of the ʻTemporary Suspensionʼ album on Berlin label Ostgut Ton.

Comprising three state-of-the-art expeditions into deep space techno, Deep Heet Vol. 2 takes techno back to its primitive roots, adding details inspired by yet-to- be-explored points in the galaxy; only visible from Slaterʼs Spacestation Ø UK studio.
Sucktion opens the EP in glorious style. The basis being a powerfully hypnotic groove, the track evolves steadily, drawing the listener in completely before revealing its subtle, beautifully powerful, harmonic breakdown.

Mechanical and tense, Pow Wow combines the sonic dynamism of hollow reverberating rhythms with oscillating melodic loops which together create a tightly woven groove that ultimately implodes into a shrill explosion of frequencies.

Raid closes out the EP with its shimmering minimalism crafting a calm contrast to the rest of the EP. Pulsing melodies and echoing chimes attract the focus while a heavy flat kick and spurts of firing hats add the necessary dancefloor momentum.

AE.WAI is a DJ from Brno, Czech Republic. He has garnered acclaim for his powerful and captivating techno sets, drawing deep inspiration from the sounds of the 90s. Fueled by a friend's local radio show dedicated to techno and house music, AE.WAI developed a strong passion for the genre. This passion led him to meticulously save money for and acquire his first turntables and mixer, marking the official start of his DJ journey. His distinct techno style is characterized by a fusion of groovy, hypnotic and raw elements.  As part of the Origin group, he regularly hosts nights at the iconic Czech underground clubs Perpetuum and Pul.Pit and is a familiar face at Maximal and Techno Thursdays. His musical journey has taken him to various European nations with standout performances in England's vintage warehouses. Currently, AE.WAI is rooted in the Czech Republic, deeply immersed in the underground music scene.

CXMA is a DJ and producer from Murcia, Spain. He fell into techno with Richie Hawtin's sets and went raving a lot in Berlin. There he discovered Berghain and became more interested in underground techno. Since then, he's been partying at the best festivals in Europe and the most underground clubs in Berlin. In 2020, he made the decision to live in the capital of techno. His first gig was at the Bulbul Berlin’s club where an afterparty was hosted by Room Trax. His music has been greatly influenced by the artists he's been very close to and can be described as dark hypnotic techno. He is one of the founders of the collective Proyektx in Murcia. He played several times in Berlin and Milan. In 2022, he did the warm-up for the party BlackWorks where he shared the lineup with DYEN, Svetec and Pawlowski. At other events, he already shared the lineup with Richie Hawtin, Amelie Lens, VSK, Flavia Laus, Pfirter, Blanka, P.E.A.R.L., Ben Sims, Alienata, Fadi Mohem and Joton. His first track was released on the label Casanova Bar Records. His second album is now in process with 6 tracks booked for Diffuse Reality.
