A special Japan connection for the next release on DJ Nobu’s Bitta label. Osaka-based Erik Luebs joins the roster with an EP of iconic, trance-influenced techno melancholia. Having released most of his work through his own DIY channels, Luebs' sounds have reached many dancefloors worldwide. He now teams up with Bitta for something special. On Nontemporal Void, Luebs delivers four tracks that perfectly showcase his diverse sound palette. Each track hits a different box of energy—all while injecting a healthy dose of hypnotism. With a keen eye for detail, the EP moves from slowly built-up tension to eyes-closed techno grooves and synth-heavy euphoria, showcasing the many sides of a magnificent sound designer and creative artist.

The original version of the song "UV" was released on the legendary label Ostgut Ton. In consultation with them I am now re-releasing the new edit of the track that has been a big part of my path that goes on til today. File available on my Bandcamp profile.

I’ve always loved imperfections. They make me feel more connected to whatever it is. Could be a faded polaroid with dust on it, a single cloud in an otherwise clear sky, or a clap that sounds different each time it plays. There’s something about the unpredictability, the raw edges, that makes things feel more real. Especially in music, that’s what draws me in. So when Upperberry reached out, it felt like the right moment to gather tracks that carry that same imperfect energy and to explore my own path through sound, drifting from dub into house. Thick metal bars covered the window, limiting the light that entered the already dark room. What was visible was unfamiliar; the heavily padlocked door, the single chair in the corner.... He had no recollection of how he'd ended up here. Panic began to set in as he tried to retrace the last few hours in his mind, and he couldn't. It was completely blank. As he got to his feet and made for the door, a key began to turn in the padlock; he'd soon have his answer.

Following releases from Silicodisco and FLXXX, San Francisco's Roam Recordings welcome back Tronik Youth for a new EP titled Lost In The Media. The two originals are backed up by remixes from Disco Halal alumni Autarkic and shape shifting producer and Berceuse Heroique regular Black Merlin, who stretches the original in to a ten minute Industrial slow burner, that builds on a fuzzy synth line and robotic vocal samples that take cues from early New Beat.
