For our 20th episode of materiacast series, we're delighted to have Parisian DJ Ellicam.

She's part of a new generation of French artists who draw their inspiration from stripped-down, definitively hypnotic techno.
Ellicam shapes her mixes through an architectural vision by seeing tracks as textures. Her palette combines percussive and atmospheric tracks in order to take her listener on a mental journey. 

This mix draws the landscape for a trip through hypnotic techno by exploring sharp and immersive tracks.

Co-founder of @konekt-festival. Fascinated by electronic music since 2010, when she discovered electro and totally fell in love with it. Since then, the club culture has been a very important part of her life. She danced countless hours on the dance floors. Years of presence at parties and festivals made her want to express herself as a DJ. Her sets are full of energy and the selection is diverse. She finds herself best in techno but interweaves elements of electro, acid and psytrance. Sometimes she likes to venture into slightly smoother vibes.

GWÄN is the project of Georgian artist Gvantsa Todadze, based between Berlin and Tbilisi. She is a resident DJ at Fluid Vision and the co-founder of Faction, a Tbilisi-based techno-oriented event series.

Known for her refined selections and distinctive performance techniques, her sound is characterized by driving, groovy, hypnotic, and fast-paced rhythms.

This episode continues VARIA's mission: championing considered electronic expression and lasting artistry.

Selector y coleccionista de vinilos afincado en la escena de Granada, con un enfoque musical abierto a la experimentación. Su sonido transita libremente entre géneros, dejando entrever influencias profundas que van desde el techno más introspectivo hasta el flamenco mas puro.

Sin atarse a etiquetas, explora  diferentes sonidos dentro del techno, con una afinidad por las atmósferas del dub y el techno clásico impartido por la escuela Birmingham o R&S. Ha compartido su visión sonora en algunas salas de referencia del sur de España y en clubes como Aeden, Berlín.
