This set is dedicated to one of the nicest guys I´ve ever met - a good guy, a good DJ, a good producer, a good friend, a good son, a good husband and a good father - simply a good man.

Unfortunately, destiny decided that he should leave us way too early. He died out of a sudden, completely unexpected on August 15, 2022. Would have liked to spend more time with him. He was sincere, genuine, very funny and unselfishly shared his experiences with others.  We shared a passion for music and had the same sense of humor.  I really miss him.

Poladroïd's (@poladroid-rr) musical journey began at 16 in punk and metal bands, later exploring electronic music at 19. His debut on International Deejay Gigolos led to the creation of Roulette Rekordz, bringing dynamic electro fusion to stages across Europe alongside renowned artists. After a hiatus, he resurfaced in 2019, relaunching his label and releasing music on platforms like Science Cult and Microm Records. Beyond Poladroïd, he's crafted albums as Cercle Futur and the Xenomorph Jazz Ensemble, contributing a consistent intensity to the diverse musical landscape. Enjoy it!

It is with extraordinary honour that we are pleased to introduce today's guest. Chris Roman, aka 214, has a habit of getting lost in his studio, which happens to be tucked into the same mystical foothills as the David Lynch town of Twin Peaks, a location whose presence looms across much of Roman’s audio narrative, deftly playing foil to his creative heritage as a Miami native grounded in that area’s electro scene.
Since his production debut in 2002 Roman has cultivated a substantial discography of future dance floor thump and heady sci fi vapors with releases on notable labels such as Frustrated Funk, Klakson, Central Processing Unit (CPU), Shipwrec, 20:20 Vision, and Touchin Bass. He's also appeared on three Fabric compilations, including an exclusive track commissioned for Steffi’s highly lauded Fabric 94 mix.
Though clubs all over the world have hosted 214’s hardware-heavy live sets,including 3 performances at acclaimed Berghain, he’s also known for working dance floors with dexterous precision for anyone lucky enough to catch him behind the decks.
214’s upcoming projects include EPs for Frustrated Funk and a Science Cult V/A.

Which artists has influenced you the most? 
- This is a tough one to answer. I'm someone who loves consuming all styles of music in all genres. I think that is something that reflects in my music more than specific artists. I've been influenced by many over the years.

What new projects/releases with your participation are expected in the near future? 
- I just released an EP for Frustrated Funk about 2 months ago and have another on the way soon. Likely available at the end of summer/early fall. There's also a track I contributed to an upcoming Science Cult V/A that I'm excited about.

Which artists/labels is more relevant to you now? 
- Relevancy is not something I'm looking for. There's a number of quality artists and labels who haven't released in a while who I still pull to play, but there's also a large number of new labels and artists releasing interesting music. What I love about the current state of music is how many artists are creating sounds based on mixing multiple genres.

What inspires you now to create music? 
- My surroundings and music from all genres. Inspiration is all around us.

What set-up do you use when creating music? 
- A combination of hardware and software. I find the secret sauce to come from both worlds.

Growing up in suburban east side Rotterdam during the eighties and nineties, @kos010 aka Chris Kokos got heavily influenced by obscure hip hop, techno and rave. He started his journey from there, eventually leading to co-founding the KOSNIX initiative in 2013. Today, he transmits a variety of electronic music through Radio Kokos and occasionally spins records at parties across Europe.

As a DJ, Power has performing at an array of prestigious venues and festivals across his native Ireland and in Europe. His dynamic sets, which blend styles and genres, while always being true to Detroit Techno & Electro earned him residencies at multiple club nights, often playing along side genre elites like Jeff Mills, Juan Atkins, Derek May to Dave Clarke, affirming his deep connection to the underground music community. While he also curating & promoting his club night Electric Circus for over a decade, hosting names Robert Hood, Steve Rachmad to Luke Slater. A notable aspect of Power’s career is his role as the host of the ' The Electric Circus Show ' a pirate radio show on opentempo fm. Through this platform, Power is dedicated to introducing listeners to a wide range of global talent that airs monthly. As a producer, Power's work has also made waves, with releases on labels such as Hilltown Disco, Mini Man Records,TakeOverRecords and Psykosocial. In addition to these Power oversees a record label, Midi Mode Records adding another dimension to his multifaceted career. Through his label, sonic sounds of Electro & Techno can be found as he continues to push the next wave of electronic music. Blackploid is the alias of German producer/DJ @martin-matiske - In 1997, at the age of 10, Martin began mixing records and recording daily new mix tapes.
