100+ Underground Artists to help Ukrainian Refugees - Peace & Solidarity [Frequency Shift Recordings // FS022]

We contacted many artists around the world, in order to organize a fundraiser to help Ukrainian refugees fleeing the war. These families did not ask for anything and have to leave their homes, families and friends.

At Frequency Shift Recordings, we have been inundated with messages from these artists, who have spontaneously given a track to support this cause. They are more than 100 to join us !!

We do not accept what is happening and wish to make our contribution. All profits from the sale of this compilation will be donated to the French Red Cross to carry out actions on the ground.

Exactly one year after his 2021 release entitled 'The Electro Manifesto', DVS NME returns with a collection of new tracks that were produced between late 2021 and early 2022. This 25-track album is another thematic nod to class struggle with the hope to stir class consciousness in listeners. Every song title makes reference to some tenant of the destructive and unequal economic system called capitalism as well as its ever-looming shadow socialism. Even the album cover borrows inspiration from Soviet-era propaganda, re-adapting the artistic styles of many communist agitators.

This album, as with the last, relies heavily on the sounds of classic Electro machines like Mono/Poly, MS-20, SH-101, Jupiter-8, Juno-106, SH-2, System 100, Juno 60, JX-3P, TB-303, Polysix, TR-606, OB-8, TR-808, ARP Odyssey, as well as some contemporary additions to his studio like Hydrasynth, System 8, MC-101, Prophet Rev2, Novation Peak, Minilogue, SE-02, and Microkorg.

DVS NME is the man behind the weekly radio show/daily blog called 'Dark Science Electro' and has been a dedicated contributor to the Electro community for the last 11 years. Producer, DJ and Label owner from Belgium - Poladroïd @poladroid-rr

Poladroïd is a project that started in 2000. After a debut on International Deejay Gigolos, the Russian went his own way and created Roulette Rekordz @roulette-rekordz, releasing artists like Scape One , MANASYt , The WeeDJs and a bunch of various compilations... He also toured Europe and played in Praha, London, Madrid, Paris, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Bordeaux, Munich, and mostly in Belgium with artists like ADULT., Ectomorph, Anthony Rother, Dopplereffekt, Luke Eargoggle, Zerkalo and a long list of local artists...

Roulette Rekordz stopped its activities in 2007 and Poladroid took a break shortly after only to resurface in 2019, relaunching the label at the same time. In 2021 he already produced 2 EP's on his own label, but also a CD on Diffuse Reality records and a cassette release on Detriti records.

Roulette Rekordz has released on vinyl the second volume of Carjack City with Ben Milstein, Datawave, Terens K... but also digital EP's from Francois Dillinger, Datacrashrobot, Dr Floyd, Dark Prophet and RR veteran LL321.�2 more compilations are coming as well as EP's from new guests, exploring further a large spectrum of classic and, sometimes, much more unconventional electronics.
