Exactly one year after my 2022 release entitled 'Agitation Propaganda', I return with a collection of new tracks that were produced between the middle of 2022 and early 2023. This 20-track album, as the title suggests, is a tribute to the love affair that I have with making music. In 2023 I celebrate my 40th birthday so I thought it was good timing to release a concept album that pays homage to the one true love that I've ever known- Synthesis ♥️ 

This album, as with the last, relies heavily on the sounds of classic synthesizers/drum machines like Mono/Poly, MS-20, SH-101, Jupiter-8, Juno-106, SH-2, JX-8P, System 100, Juno 60, JX-3P, TB-303, Polysix, TR-606, OB-8, TR-808, ARP Odyssey, as well as some contemporary additions to my studio like Hydrasynth, System 8, MC-707, MicroFreak, Prophet Rev2, Novation Peak, Minilogue, SE-02, and Microkorg.

The artwork for the album was done by the brilliant artist Kelly Gilleran, who also just so happens to be my long-term girlfriend. She is a pattern designer, painter, and illustrator. Her work can be found here:  https://www.kellygilleran.redbubble.com/

Less than one year after his 2019 release entitled ‘Trans Asia Express’, DVS NME returns with a collection of original tracks that were produced between 2018-2020. This 30-track album is a not-so-subtle nod to the Electro inspirations that have helped to influence the DVS NME sound that has developed over the course of the last 20 years. The most obvious influence is that of Detroit pioneers Drexciya and subsequent projects by Gerald Donald. The album pays homage to Dopplereffekt’s 1999 album ‘Gesamtkunstwerk’ in both its title and cover art. The release ranges from brooding, downtempo machine funk all the way to dancefloor-oriented melodic Electro. The album relies heavily on the sounds of classic Electro machines like Mono/Poly, MS-20, SH-101, Jupiter-8, Juno-106, JX-3P, TB-303, Polysix, TR-606, OB-8, TR-808, ARP Odyssey, and TR-909. We're super excited to welcome CPU affiliate, Nullptr to the series for mix #067.

Nullptr aka Eddie Symons is an electro producer and DJ, label boss of [d]-tached records and co-promoter of Cambridge-based electro night Motherchip Connexion. 

Eddie's first step into the Electro scene came with his debut release as Nullptr on the highly regarded Detroit Underground label. He followed this with an EP for Sheffield's Central Processing Unit, which received airplay on B Traits' Radio 1 show, and gained support from the likes of Jensen Interceptor, Carl Finlow, DVS NME & many more. After subsequent releases for SolarOneMusic, Fanzine Records and Fundamental Records, in 2020 he returned to Central Processing Unit with his 10 track album 'Future World'.

In the last few years Eddie has built up his DJing experience, playing regularly at his Motherchip Connexion events, where he is known for playing a diverse range of electro, from dark machine funk to acid-tinged braindance.
