[BTRY'068] SOLAR CHROME - "HIDDEN STRUCTURES" [2023] 


Nika Farra found the origin of her musical development as a teenager in the home computer scene. The fascination of the intros and demos of that time led her into the world of soundtrackers. In combination with her work as a DJ, numerous gigs and live acts followed in the years to come - resulting in numerous mix and demo tapes.

When the label "Elektrolux" became aware of her and requested a track for the well-known Space Night series on Bavarian Television (BR), Nika Farra's actual musical career began. Under the pseudonym SOLAR CHROME followed further music videos on public television ("Man vs. Machine"). This first releases found international appeal and so the cooperation with the label "Maschinen Musik" and Dr. Schmidt came about.

The debut release "I'm A Machine" quickly became a popular track in the electro scene. In the following years many singles and EP's, music videos and live performances followed. Besides her work as SOLAR CHROME, she also created many material for the lounge/chill project BOOT CUT ROCKERS and the experimental IDM project D:STRUCD.

In recent years, Nika Farra has devoted herself almost exclusively to her metal bands and guitar music, partly for personal reasons. With the intensive occupation with the topics mixing and mastering new interest in electronic music grew. At first, a lot of audio-visual material was created under the pseudonym D:STRUCD, which is about the intensive combination of sound and image.

With this work, the plan to produce new electro tracks, which will be released on the label "Battery Park Studio" in the future, was soon established.

@Pan-Am-Tracks welcomes @DVSNME & @Krypton81 for its latest physical release, a 2xLP collaboration between the two Electro visionaries. This ambitious project pays homage to the legendary Das Muster, a pivotal figure in the Electro genre, and promises a sonic trip that resonates with fans of the genre.

Both artists set the tone with intricate rhythms and analogue warmth, embodying the meticulous craftsmanship, and Avant-garde characteristics of classic Electro. Pulsating basslines and shimmering synths intertwine, creating a vibrant, futuristic soundscape. This dynamic interplay between the two artists continues throughout the album, as DVS NME and Krypton 81 counterpoint each others explorations into the cold sound of their late, great friend.

This full-length 2xLP physical release on Pan-Am Tracks, encapsulates the essence of Das Muster. Meticulously crafted and thoughtfully sequenced, both artist showing their massive love for the legacy of the sound in creating this record.

He subido de nuevo el track, pues había un pequeño error y era necesario corregirlo. Lamentablemente he perdido los likes que ya teníamos acumulados, así como sus amables comentarios. Si la colaboración les ha gustado, les pido su apoyo de nuevo en sus likes y comentarios Muchas gracias.
Desde hace mucho tiempo he venido deseando crear temas con un sonido y un sentimiento completamente Techno Pop, como si fuesen sido creados en 1981-1982, y entonces compuse este primer track.
Lo primero que busqué fue ser lo mas fiel posible a los sonidos de mi adolescencia, con mi eterna compañera: la nostalgia. Y fue así que utilicé una Linn Drum, SCI Pro One, SCI Prophet 5, Roland SH-101, Roland Jupiter 8 y un Roland MC-202. Y entonces imagine una gran voz que acompañara el track, y no supe quien pudiera hacerlo como lo imaginaba y decidí archivar el track entre tantos otros miles que guardo en mis discos duros. Pero recordé la extraordinaria voz de Franco Doglioli, cantante del fabuloso dueto argentino de synth pop Reflection. Decidí invitar a ambos a colaborar en el track. Para mi felicidad, aceptaron a pesar de encontrase en la plena producción de su nuevo álbum. El resultado aquí esta. Me encuentro francamente emocionado, honrado y sin duda conmovido la colaboración de ambos talentos me ha rebasado, simplemente me fascina. Espero encuentren el track tan fantástico y bello como lo siento yo. Tal vez esto abra la puerta a otras piezas donde trabajemos juntos, o tal vez a un disco, como aquellos de 12" que tanto se estilaban en los años ochentas. Lo que ya es un hecho es que este tema me ha llegado directo al corazón. Muchas gracias a Reflection y sin duda a todos ustedes por su interés y apoyo.
