With a newfound buzz surrounding my beloved genre, I'm hardly keeping up! @djtygre is the alias of San Francisco-based Andreas Tagger. He started DJing in 1995 and was active in the underground rave scene of Philadelphia until around 2000 when he opted to take a long hiatus from DJing. After the break, he recently became inspired by the darker sounds of Electro and Techno and has since been producing mixes at a break-neck speed in the last year. Exactly one year after my 2022 release entitled 'Agitation Propaganda', I return with a collection of new tracks that were produced between the middle of 2022 and early 2023. This 20-track album, as the title suggests, is a tribute to the love affair that I have with making music. In 2023 I celebrate my 40th birthday so I thought it was good timing to release a concept album that pays homage to the one true love that I've ever known- Synthesis ♥️

This album, as with the last, relies heavily on the sounds of classic synthesizers/drum machines like Mono/Poly, MS-20, SH-101, Jupiter-8, Juno-106, SH-2, JX-8P, System 100, Juno 60, JX-3P, TB-303, Polysix, TR-606, OB-8, TR-808, ARP Odyssey, as well as some contemporary additions to my studio like Hydrasynth, System 8, MC-707, MicroFreak, Prophet Rev2, Novation Peak, Minilogue, SE-02, and Microkorg.

The artwork for the album was done by the brilliant artist Kelly Gilleran, who also just so happens to be my long-term girlfriend. She is a pattern designer, painter, and illustrator. Her work can be found here: www.kellygilleran.redbubble.com/

Exactly one year after my 2023 release entitled 'A Love Letter To Synthesis', I return with a collection of 15 new tracks that were produced between the middle of 2023 and early 2024.

This album, as with the last, relies heavily on the sounds of classic synthesizers/drum machines like Mono/Poly, MS-20, SH-101, Jupiter-8, Juno-106, SH-2, JX-8P, System 100, Juno 60, JX-3P, TB-303, Polysix, TR-606, OB-8, TR-808, ARP Odyssey, as well as some contemporary additions to my studio like Hydrasynth, System 8, MC-707, MicroFreak, Prophet Rev2, Novation Peak, Minilogue, SE-02, and Microkorg.

This premiere comes to us from West Wales-based producer @Alokamusic via @TypelessRecords.

Aloka is a 23 year old producer that has been making music for about 5 years now. Having began his music in the dark, beat-driven sound and early Rave music, Aloka had produced Techno/Breaks before now and has recently dived into the world of Electro, having been inspired by Aux 88, Dexter, Drexciya as well as Carl Finlow. This is his first release in 3 years due to a long vacation filled with travel and the first effort of his return shows some serious promise, launching a new label called Typeless Records. This two track release is sure to please with 'Concave' taking you on a journey from cosmic synth work to punchy hypnotic stabs, whilst 'Convex' is a dark, arpeggiated, synth-driven floor filler that displays Aloka’s mature & forward thinking sound perfectly.

This EP will release on March 1st.

Our next premiere comes courtesy of Italian Electro label @FU-ME-rec - Their next release is the debut release from @Arp220

@Arp220 is the output of one woman from the east coast of the US named Enif.  Recorded and mixed in the Applied Research Recording Laboratory, this release recalls the cosmically exploitative and scientifically curious sounds/themes of dreamy Electro as well as exploring the deep and muscular bass tones of early Minimal Wave and EBM. Rooted in the Post Punk restlessness, ARP220 re-interprets the sound to narrate a cyberpunk scenery. From down-tempo EBM to obscure dark Electro, deadly fat bass lines are constantly pumping under her vocoded voice. This EP will be available on April 15th
