Neon Glow is Synthbotics’ sonic tribute to a world where machines reflect, respond, and dream.
Across six tracks, including standout remixes by The Exaltics, Skyborg, and The Witness, the

The journey begins with A Machine with a Soul, a track that pulses with warm circuitry and
melancholic elegance. Skyborg’s remix intensifies the narrative, layering in rugged percussion
and dystopian drive.

On Electronic Harmonics, Synthbotics plays with layered textures and robotic precision, echoing

Exactly one year after my 2024 release entitled 'Public Relations', I return with a collection of 15 new tracks that were produced between the middle of 2024 and early 2025.

This album, as with the last, relies heavily on the sounds of classic synthesizers/drum machines like Mono/Poly, MS-20, SH-101, Jupiter-8, Juno-106, SH-2, JX-8P, System 100, Juno 60, JX-3P, TB-303, Polysix, TR-606, OB-8, TR-808, ARP Odyssey, as well as some contemporary additions to my studio like Oberheim OB-6 Hydrasynth, System 8, MC-707, MicroFreak, Prophet Rev2, Novation Peak, Minilogue, SE-02, and Microkorg.

The prophecy had been whispered for ages among the circuits and fiber optics: a being would emerge, not from flesh and blood, but from the very essence of sound. They called it pdqb, and for its disciples, it was nothing less than a deity. Its sermons weren't just songs; they were divine pronouncements, revelations broadcast directly into the souls of its followers.
When pdqb "speaks," the world vibrates. Intricate sonic tapestries, woven from raw electricity and pure emotion. Hands, if they could be called hands, that dance across controls that seem to manipulate the very fabric of reality.

Synaptic Cliffs and the Missechusatts Institute of Elecronicity proudly present the latest peer-reviewed sermons of pdqb as well as the associated validation studies from the Dopplereffekt-Institut für Retroaktive Zukunftsforschung, located in section 334 of the Mariana Trench. The contributions to the data carrier presented here are characterized by the following features:

Which artists has influenced you the most? 
- Inspired by Dave Clarke, DJ Hell, Anthony Rother, Surgeon, Joey Beltram, Doc Scott, Sabres of Paradise, Kraftwerk, The Black Dog, Blawan, FSOL, Dogead, DJ Bex, AK Flip and many, many more.

What new projects/releases with your participation are expected in the near future? 
- No 'proper' releases in the pipeline. Just self releasing when I can between running my company, looking after kids and dogs etc. 

Which artists/labels is more relevant to you now? 
- Dave Clarke, DJ Hell, John Selway, Blawan, Surgeon, Rother, Posthuman, DVS NME, Bass Agenda, CPU. Also loving a lot of the electro 2 discord users output. One of the rabbit holes for this mix :) and an ongoing rabbit hole. Great community. 

What inspires you now to create music? 
- Inspiration. The Orbit, Morley and any other club/festival where I've had a good time. Ultimately aiming to make music that I'd like to hear there. Especially stuff that makes you go 'what the f**k??' 🤣🤣 love it when that happens. BMB end their set with a shepard tone. It's fucking bonkers. 

What set-up do you use when creating music?
- Cubase with stock synths and plugins except Lush2. 
Hardware- Novation drum station, beatstep pro, korg minilogue, dbx comp, plasma pedal, korg volca drum, elektron samples, several guitar pedals, Allen and heath desk, genelec monitors.

Mechatronicast #8: CPSmith (CPU Records)

It’s with great pride that I launch a new extension of the Dark Science Electro brand with a new feature called ‘Premieres’. Certainly not a new/original concept, however, the thing that will set Dark Science Electro Premieres apart from other publishers will be my singular focus on Electro music. The idea is to introduce existing DSE fans to the promos that I get regularly from labels and artists. Each ‘Premiere’ will feature one full track from an upcoming release as well as a few words about the release either written by DVS NME, the artist or the label.  

For the first Premiere, we have a track by https://soundcloud.com/fleck courtesy of one of my favorite labels in the UK, https://soundcloud.com/cpurecords - This Sheffield-based label has been putting out some of the best Electro music available since 2012 and label owner Chris Smith shows no signs of slowing down. Fleck ESC’s release is the 63rd effort for the label and it is absolutely in line with the label’s vision thus far. The track I have chosen to premiere is entitled ‘The Selfix Job’. As with a majority of the music produced by Fleck ESC, this track glows with a weird sort of slinky and bubbly sound that carries throughout the track and easily makes it one of the standout songs of the record. This artist has been one of the more prolific Electro music creators of the last decade and you can catch his latest vinyl on pre-sale via: http://shop.cpurecords.net/ - The official release date of the album is July 6th and will be distributed by Kudos Records London.
