The sounds merge in between sonic zones and leads you through contrasting ways each time. This podcast is a journey into industrial techno, dark electronics, ebm full of cracked dissonances, with a languorous atmospheric ending.

Beta Version, the first iteration of Skarabaeus as a live event in collaboration with Kollektiv SEIN, which took place at 26th november at Crack Bellmer Berlin. An evening combining the art aspect of SEIN with our musical philosophy.

Like every Skarabaeus Podcast our special guest gets asked a few questions, which has been done in a live setting at the event, sadly the recording got lost, so here's a transcribed version of the interview. An english version will be uploaded shortly.

Dead Blood Cells are a Kent, UK-based industrial darkwave band. Formed in early 2017 in Medway, they bring together a number of influences including darkwave, electro-industrial and more of those tricky post-punk genres. It is a marriage of hauntingly sweet dark vocals with industrial noise. They have appeared on Cleopatra Records Unquiet Grave 2020 compilation, and Slava Ukraini (a darkwave/EBM charity compilation in support of Ukraine).

Described by one reviewer: "They had a song that told you they are industrial, but there was more than this mixed up in this [cacophonous] stage presence. There was punk, experimental and something that vaguely reminded me of some of Fad Gadget's sound."

The river was the only route out of the city. It stretched for miles and miles, ebbing and flowing with the breeze that carried it along. Dark green leaves and sprawling branches formed a canopy over the water, protecting this natural place from prying eyes. It felt peaceful, a place for escaping the stresses of city life. In fact, this river held many secrets, stories that would make your hair stand on end. Its beauty was simply a facade...

Next up on XXX, the Dutch label run by DJ and producr SHMLSS, is good friend and Bordello A Parigi alumni Stijn Sadée. After two contributions to earlier releases for the label, he's now set to release his first original EP on the label, which features a remix from Smala boss Manfredas that they locked in after the Lithuanian producer saw Stijn play live last year. The aesthetics of the label are down to Stijn's brother Thomas who worked closely with him to create something that fitted with the music and his influences.
