TAKE MY PAIN AWAY

I started rapping and singing about 6 years ago as a way to cope with hatred and pain. It felt so good to let go of what I had held inside for so long. I was told I was annoying, couldn’t carry a tune in a bucket and to quit wasting my time because music wasn’t my calling. I was told that I would never “make it” but I wasn’t making music for their approval. Music was a way to vent, it was soothing and allowed me to express emotions that I had buried deep within. 

Drug addiction and abandonment dominated my childhood into my early 30’s. I was engulfed in the flames of Hell, saturated with demons and evil spirits when I began to search for this Jesus that I had heard about when I was a kid. My grandma and grandpa never stopped being there for me though I betrayed their trust time and time again. The Lord revealed Himself to me in a way I could never explain, and I dedicated my life Him. I still fall short, I still struggle with sin, I still deal with behaviors and emotions that aren’t Christlike. The only difference is now I know I can’t fix or save myself and that I need a Savior. 

Repent and believe in Jesus Christ.
