**Drew Whiteted (GuRu)** – Hypnotic Techno & Minimal Mastery  

Growing up in the **70s and 80s**, Drew Whiteted was immersed in the sounds of **Disco and the dawn of Hip-Hop**, sparking his love for vinyl and kickstarting his DJ and production journey. By the **mid-90s**, he had carved his place in the **Dayton, Ohio nightclub scene**, playing at legendary spots like **LA Lounge, Kamikaze Beach Club, Chucky’s Nite Club, and Wallaby’s**. His path then led him to **Tampa, FL, where he landed his first residency at Kaos**, solidifying his status as a top DJ.  

With a passion for deeper artistic expression, Drew naturally transitioned into **music production**, releasing his first tracks on **Nascent Recordings (UK)**, including **"Saro," "Their Mind," "Adele Holeness – Who Am I (FBL Mix)," and "Loois."** His breakthrough moment came when **John Digweed featured his music on Kiss FM**, confirming that he had found his true calling.  

Determined to push boundaries, Drew launched **Reticent Recording**, where his **track "Murp Electric House"** gained recognition on **Sasha and Digweed’s Delta Heavy Tour**. Reticent quickly became a platform for innovative electronic music, with releases that landed in the crates of industry heavyweights. Among them, **Gene Carbonell’s "Electric House"** and **John Scott’s "Bitch Got Magic" (with a Thomas Penton remix)** both climbed the **Balance Charts**, as did **Tom Sawyer’s "Freedom" (with a Saeed Younan remix).**  

After years of successful releases and collaborations, Reticent closed its chapter with final projects alongside **Tyro and Freezeland**. Every release during Drew’s tenure **charted on Balance**, leaving an enduring legacy in underground electronic music.  

Now, with a vault of **refined, hypnotic productions** and a renewed passion for his craft, **Drew Whiteted (GuRu)** is ready to make waves once again. Stay tuned.
