Matthieu Vaudeville aka SMIB est un prêcheur de House originaire de Bordeaux, assoiffé de propager la bonne parole, avec sa vibe italo-disco. Il a débuté sa carrière de DJ en 2017 dans le Sud Ouest avec l’Iboat notamment et a joué dans son premier festival à Rennes en 2018. En 2019 il avait une double résidence au BB25 et Redgate Bordeaux.
En 2020 la crise du covid lui permet de se focaliser sur la production est de release de nombreux tracks dont 1 EP sur soviett records et de nombreux singles sur zone focus,groove co, chineur de house, etc.
Maintenant basé à Marseille, il joue un peu partout en France avec toujours la même envie. Résident du collectif la Karma, il sort son 3ème EP en mars 2023 aux sonorités italo & trance sur le label Parisien Epicure Records  ; il termine l’année 2023 avec son entrée dans l’agence ITEM et signe une résidence au plus grand club marseillais le Cabaret aléatoire pour 2024.

Matthieu Vaudeville aka SMIB is a house music preacher from Bordeaux, driven by an unquenchable thirst to spread the gospel of Italo-disco vibes.

He started his DJ career in 2017 in the Southwest of France, making his mark at venues like Iboat, and played his first festival in Rennes in 2018. By 2019, he had secured dual residencies at BB25 and Redgate Bordeaux.

When the COVID crisis hit in 2020, he shifted his focus to music production, releasing numerous tracks—including an EP on Soviett Records and multiple singles on Zone Focus, Groove Co, Chineur de House, and more.

Now based in Marseille, SMIB plays all over France, always bringing the same infectious energy. A resident of the La Karma collective, he released his third EP in March 2023 on Epicure Records, blending Italo and trance influences. He closed out 2023 by joining the ITEM agency and securing a residency at Cabaret Aléatoire, Marseille’s biggest club, for 2024.

Among his many influences, you’ll find Ritmo Fatale, Bordello A Parigi, David Vunk, Bicep, Palms Trax, and more.

VA-Solidarity is a Weapon

These are strange times and it looks like the whole world is going crazy. At least that's how we feel when we open the newspaper and follow the daily news.
All of us noticed the news about Nazi networks in police and military, mostly called „Einzelfälle“ with fear and concern. Halle and Hanau shook us. To watch “Querdenker” and Nazis walking hand in hand while the protests for the victims of Hanau where declined made us want to throw up and listening to politicians talking about the threat from leftwing-radicals just made us wonder. Even the orange president talked about the Antifa-myth which is complete bullshit. So what does Antifa mean? A short term for Antifascist.
Since we are no longer involved in political activism, we thought we would at least make a small contribution and support activists in their struggle.

So we started asking our friends if they wanted to contribute a track. Everyone jumped right on the bandwagon, which made us super happy and in a few weeks we even had more tracks than initially planned.
So you can expect some weird ambient-spheres, stompy club hymns, dolphin-trance, classic piano-house and even some dub-grooves.

We hope you enjoy the music as much as we do.

So who is “Rote Hilfe E.V.” and why does the money made with this compilation goes to them? This organisation puts the main focus on the financial and legal support of left activists who face repression in Germany. Besides, the “Rote Hilfe E.V.” helps antifascists who are searching for political refuge in Germany. We think that's a good cause which we would like to support. So your money is well spent! ;)
