Roommates

Here's a song I recorded in my kitchen by my DavMar Duet partner Marc Fedak about the Russian Marsjall Budeny (spelling?), who, despite a sting of WWII military failures never fell out of Stalin's favour and almost uncharacteristically lived to an old age and died naturally. My take on the mix is fairly stripped down and unaffected, counting on the live rhythm instruments to carry it  through. For those interested - MacBook Pro, Apogee Duet and an Ntec microphone. Sounds glorious in 24-bit.

Here’s another recording I engineered in my kitchen penned by my friend and bandmate Marc Fedak. The tune has a slightly interesting history. I had previously written an instrumental song and Marc decided to write some lyrics for it. I didn’t think the theme of the lyrics fit the tune so instead of tossing his work away I suggested he write different music for his lyrics and the result is this tune with a very different flavour from where it started.
