Dx: The Biography

November 11, 2011. 

The initiative of a new band was born.

The band was 3 men strong.
Alejandro Candia on the drums, Octavio Ritheiro Juarez on the bass guitar and ex-Furious Blood's bass player, Sebastian GomezPedroso on the guitar.

After a couple of months, they realized the project was getting bigger, and in order to keep it that way, they would need to ensemble a full team.

The search for a lead guitar player and a vocalist began.

A couple auditions were made, but it was until Sebastian invited former Furious Blood members, Eduardo Bello and Laura Gallegos to auditon for the band, that everyone knew the search was over.

Shredding solos and powerful vocals were the new weapons of the project.

The band now had the strength of 5.

With the arrival of the new members, 
It became evident that the actual rehearsal spot was going to be too small for all the equipment.

It was then when Laura suggested to use a room on the rooftop of a building owned by some relatives.

That same room had been used a couple of times by herself, Eduardo and Sebastian in another minor project during a brief hiatus from Furious Blood.

The idea of the new spot was well accepted, and in no time, all the equipment was moved there.

The band knew the place needed a name. They chose to call it "The Sanctuary", which is Dx Death's actual rehearsal spot & headquarters.

Its precise location, is a secret to the public.

After a few months, the influences of all members, which go from Liquid Tension Experiment, Dream Theater, Tool and Arch Enemy led to the actual genre of the band, the progressive metal.

Everything looked promising, but the band was missing a name.
After some suggestions, Dx Death, the actual name, was chosen because of the medical carreer of the first three members. Dx Death is an abreviation of Diagnosis: Death.

Soon, the band was playing metal covers in parties, bars and some minor music house events.
It was not long before they began writing their own material.

The Black Mist, the band's first single was written within the first months and recorded in 2012. The initiative was inspired by the lyrics written by Sebastian GomezPedroso.

Blue Star, a song written by Eduardo Bello, was soon arranged for the band in 2012. It was recorded in the same year.

Those two songs along with some others were also planned to be released in which would be the band's first album, "Dx Death ".

Afterwards, some ideas from Bello and continuous conversations about the "Back to the Future" film (which everyone in the band is a great fan of) inspired all the members to create something even bigger. A sci-fi storyline was written by GomezPedroso. The band began to compose its first concept album.

The "Dimensions" project was born.

The story of a man and his journey across parallel universes in order to save his home inspired plenty of music material, which consists of eleven songs, one consecutive to each other.

The initial song and first part of the concept album, "Dimensions Pt. 1: Enter the Spectrum" was written and recorded in 2013. 

The rest of the Dimensions album is still in the writing process.

June 12, 2013. The copyright of the material is finally set, and Dx Death released two songs to the public, via SoundCloud.

The chosen songs were the band's first song, "The Black Mist" and the first part of their upcoming project, the eleven-minute epic "Enter the Spectrum".
