The magnum opus of Krasnodar-based producer and Fuselab founder Evgeny Shchukin aka FMSAO delves deeper into his sonic world through psychedelic dub, off-kilter dance music, and his signature lo-fi ambient pieces on the gargantuan two-hour album ‘Ультимэ (Ultimae)’. 

In addition to his hyperpop project WOLS, as well as Cossack folklore low-end reinterpretations for Aisha Devi’s Danse Noire on Narcissi duo, Evgeny Shchukin has cut his teeth on ambient and drone fields for three releases under his FMSAO moniker. The curator of Fuselab and passionate collaborator Shchukin invited the label family to breathe a new life into his unique sound and cross-pollinate the sonic map of the community in multiple directions. The most intricate, complex, and trailblazing FMSAO work to date, ‘Ultimae’ is expressing his truest form and pushes boundaries in beguiling ways. Welcome to FMSAO's next musical chapter: Ultimae.

BIO: Born in Manhattan, New York and moved between Dublin and NY for the majority of their life. Producer/Composer Lang Father began working in Brooklyns drill scene in the late 2010s; working with artists such as Fivio Foreign, Sosa Geek, Mikey Polo and Black Fortune. During Covid, Lang signed a production deal with super producer Timbaland and was given the opportunity to write and produce for everyone from Cardi B to Don Toliver. All the while Lang was traveling throughout the UK and US (London, Miami, Los Angeles) learning all the different techniques and styles of the hip hop sub genres they held dear. 

In late 2021, Lang was committed to a mental hospital after experiencing a manic episode in New York. While committed they started to develop ideas and sounds based around the dance and experimental music they had grown up listening to; Genres like UK garage, techno, noise and experimental electronic compositional music. This music had taken on a very personal and therapeutic nature for Lang as they began their journey to a healthier mental state.

Lang moved to Berlin in early 2022. Diving into the queer and techno communities that immediately embraced them. They continued remotely work for rap and hip hop in the US, doing a number of independent release as well as contributing to famed New Jersey Rapper Fetty Waps final album before his 7yr bid in prison (also landing Lang their highest charting release of their career at number 5 of global debut streaming). During this time Lang had come to develop their own sound of experimental electronic music; a gut wrenchingly personal exploration of the depths of mental illness, buried in distortion, furious rhythms, weeping vocal samples, aesthetic minimalism and bass music. Lang has finally after 4yrs + of development, is finally ready to share their own music.

Omnia Vanitas – the newest compilation from the emerging France-based label Lowlife Cartel – explores musical horizons from jungle to rap and combines dance music with an experimental approach. 
Honeälome (ABCD) opens the EP with a catchy saturated beat layered with distorted vocals. 
Kuzma Palkin (Gost Zvuk, Wicked Bass), also known as Kausto, features his minimal production with the immersive rap flow of MC Suprem Cam. Solotape (Low Income $quad) ends Side A with a heavily deconstructed experimental sound, oscillating between techno and an analogue lofi vibe. 
Side B kicks off with the invention of emo jungle – "Tru man cry", by Hajj (Dawn, BFDM), a cutting-edge jungle-leaning track mixed with a detached vocal sample in the background. 
"y-x4-rec", by Buttechno (Rassvet), is a more grounded ambient track with a focus on texture, but without sacrificing the dystopian, singular productions of this artist. 
"Purgatory", by the rapper duo 2Beast featured by Ko$te, on canadian producer Hexmane's beat, closes the EP on a dark Memphis rap vibe. 
Once again, the newest compilation represents a solid roster of emerging, genre pushing artists and some of the biggest cats in the game.
