Der Wonnemonat Mai ist ja der klassische Monat, um sich zu Verlieben und deshalb hat sich wohl ein (unfreiwilliger) Schwerpunkt bei der Zusammenstellung dieser 439. Episode von "XtraChill" eingeschlichen, denn viele der heute vorgestellten  Musikstücke sind Zusammenarbeiten mehrerer Künstlerinnen und Künstler. Eine zweite Auffälligkeit, die ebenfalls nicht beabsichtigt ist, ist der Umstand, dass die Hälfe der Gäste aus Südamerika stammt - ein Kontinent, der in den vergangenen Monaten schon öfter im Fokus war - und besonders konzentriert heute, am 15. The merry month of May is the classic month for falling in love, which is probably why an (unintentional) focus has crept into the compilation of this 439th episode of “XtraChill”, as many of the pieces of music presented today are collaborations between several artists. A second conspicuous feature, which is also unintentional, is the fact that half of the guests come from South America - a continent that has often been in the spotlight in recent months - and especially concentrated today, on May 15th, 2025. Prepare for an immersive musical odyssey as we unveil the next chapter of our podcast series, one that’s been a long time in the making. As a label that’s been growing for just over five years now, there are certain artists who’ve shaped our journey long before we even knew we’d start one. DJ Caspa @tundecas41 is one of those djs. We’ve been listening to his sets for more than a decade, long before the idea of launching this podcast series was even a thought. And if there’s one thing that’s stayed consistent all these years, it’s the sheer quality of what he delivers. But Caspa’s story runs even deeper. He picked up mixing at around the young age of 16, and from that moment on, music became a life path. Growing up during the acid house and Balearic era, the spark was lit early. His first love was Jungle Music and like any true selector, his vinyl collection exploded fast. He chased fresh sounds relentlessly, from early radio sessions in the '90s on stations like Weekend Rush, Pressure FM, Rinse FM, Unknown FM, Deja Vu, and Magic FM, all the way through to building one of the most respected Sunday shows on Rinse FM itself. Caspa lived through multiple waves of dance music, growing to a seasoned club DJ. He’s played up and down the UK and regularly traveled abroad. The sound on this podcast is 100% unreleased music from his friends in the scene. In addition to his club and radio legacy, DJ Caspa also curates his own acclaimed podcast series Upfront & Personal, known for hosting high-calibre guests such as Chris Stussy, Mr G, Djoko, Josh Butler, Anotr, Sidney Charles, Larry da Kat and many more.
