I grew up in a place where Classic Rock was played on the regular and later on, my older brother introduced me to Depeche Mode and The Prodigy when I was about 10. From there on, I started getting more into music, consuming quite a lot of trip hop, rap and whatever essential mixes I could get my hands on. A few years later I fell in love with deep, dark progressive. The likes of John Digweed, Sasha, Nick Warren, Deep Dish, Steve Lawler, Danny Howells—just to name a few—lead my voyage deeper into the unknown, led by Global Underground. The only way I can reproduce that sound in a modern fashion is through raw, deep and hypnotic techno, and this is my pit stop these days, trying to recreate that stream of consciousness, as a ripple effect of the gravitational waves caused by that dark music back in my teenage years. Oh yeah, seasoned with lots of Radiohead.
