TENO focuses on minimal and straight techno, meticulously building a groove with rhythmic and minimal tops and a deep, resonant low end. He passionately and stoically reproduces sound to create a fusion of music and body. His tracks leverage the analog sound of modular synthesizers and have been released on various labels worldwide, including Newrhythmic Records, Room Trax, DifferentSound, Balls Baile, MZR Records, and CommonSence Records.This year, TENO released an EP on the Spanish label Newrhythmic Records, known as a pioneer in the electronic music scene, becoming the first Japanese artist to do so. This release was featured in the international media magazine Vicious.Additionally,he founded the techno label Aum Recordings in Osaka and released his own EP, featuring a remix by the up-and-coming Munich-based artist Polygonia, generating significant buzz. His DJ sets have been broadcast live both domestically and internationally from SUPER DOMMUNE in Shibuya, Tokyo.In recent years, TENO has also contributed mixes to numerous podcasts. In April 2023, he served as the opening act for BEN SIMS in Osaka, showcasing his broad musicality and stable performance, earning high praise both domestically and internationally..

Every Always. This body’s title track thus signals the start of Finalversion3’s journey, a dive into an inner world plagued with themes of family, spirituality, and hope. With all the originals finished a week before the birth of the artist’s son, every title unveils a portion of a journey of struggle, overcoming fears, and a strong sense of interdependence.

“Todos Los Siempres”, stemming from this long standing family ethos,  is an emphatic tour de force, punk from the bone, an exploration of the hardcore-continuum in the flesh, and an exo-skeleton of battering snares melding the artists influences into a defining opener.

“De tu costado” and “Vulnerables” continue by building the myth of this release, swathes of metallic textures, constantly decaying dancefloor constructions with an uncanny sense of bitter-sweet around the topics of birth, vulnerability, and growth.

“Incompatible con la vida” narrates overcoming anxieties, delivering a deeply cathartic explosion of thundering club sonics.

The final original track, “Nacida en Jueves Santo” is an infinite tug of war between hyperspeeds and a smoldering dembow pulse, with the embers of both compacted together until forming a rough diamond. In Spanish folklore, a person born on Holy Thursday is capable of lifting curses from others, and as such, capable of keeping one’s family in good health.

Peder Mannerfelt sets off with the first of our remixes, club heart attack through and through, fear is imminent, and a robotic PSA reminds us of it constantly.

Stalwart Oscar Mulero reimagines our title track in explosive fashion, delivering classic D’n’B permeations into a carefully weaved fabric, broken Reese basses and infinite Amen recombinations ensuring nosebleed.

Answer Code Request’s dubby breakbeat take on the opener is perhaps, able to highlight a sense of euphoria that is more underplayed throughout the release.

Figue es un DJ y productor Coruñés, recientemente residiendo a Amsterdam en busca de su desarrollo como artista. Tras su corta pero intensa trayectoria con los vinilos, de menos de 1 año, Figue se adentra el mundo de los 3 platos para ofrecer más dinamismo y profundidad en sus sets. Su estilo se caracteriza por un balance entre lo hipnótico y lo percusivo, con la intención de buscar una coherencia entre los tracks que conduzca al oyente por una espiral de emociones. A lo largo de su carrera Figue ha tocado para colectivos locales como Lab Movement y para clubs de referencia local como TN Club, por donde pasan artistas de talla internacional y donde compartió cartel con Kaiser. Durante los próximos meses se tendrán noticias sobre la trayectoria de Figue y sus futuros proyectos relacionados con la producción.

Archaic Podcast 539 - Figue

Confusion is a producer and Raserei resident DJ. His dancefloor-oriented sound is characterized by highly effective rhythms, minimalist synths, and trippy pads or textures that traverse various tempos and subgenres, maintaining a consistent energy level. Drawing inspiration from his roots as a drummer and the evolving landscape of techno over the decades, Confusion also finds creative influence in his appreciation for ambient soundscapes, IDM, and other experimental electronic genres.

Since 2017, he has been shaping the regional techno scene in Mannheim and its surroundings. Further bookings in institutional clubs like Tresor Berlin or RSO followed. Co-hosting a visionary event series at Disco Zwei, he has been instrumental in presenting well-respected bookings to the local scene. Besides the club nights, the Raserei residents started a record label of the same name, in addition to a podcast series, to establish themselves and their musical vision beyond the region.

In recent years, his focus has expanded to crafting own stripped-down yet minimalistic but timeless techno tracks. Alongside numerous self-releases, he has earned recognition with releases on well-respected platforms such as Canticle, SYXT, PRX Records, Schimmer Records and Grab The Groove. Confusion's music has garnered support from established artists including DVS1, Luke Slater, Setaoc Mass, Rødhåd, Rene Wise, Philippa Pacho, Marrøn, Blue Hour, to name a few. These tracks have found their way into the sets of these artists at renowned venues like Berghain, KHIDI, Bassiani, Basement and Radion. Keep an eye, there is more to come..
