Modeā is quickly becoming a household name amongst his Irish peers. Hailing from Donegal, the young DJ and producer has already established himself as ‘one to watch’ in the scene via releases on Alan Fitzpatrick’s We Are The Brave and Elysium. And with his new single on Dense & Pika’s Kneaded Pains imprint, his ascendency looks to rise further.

Rave motifs can be heard on the title track, but this is no 1990’s pastiche, as Modeā serves up a thoroughly modern sound aesthetic with the energy and spirit of hardcore dance for a big room techno epic. ‘On A Level’ similarly serves up a gargantuan club cut, deploying vocal chops and dark, acidic stabs over a hefty drum track.
