»I haven't heard music on a sound system (or had a proper dance) for a while, and I'm missing it. I'm happy to listen to others play more intense/clubby music at the moment, but not so in the mood to play it myself.

So this mix is more like a radio set, of sorts. I wouldn't be against playing some of these tracks out – indeed, parts of the mix were inspired by some favourite warm-up selections. But some of the tunes I definitely haven't had the chance/courage to play in public, yet. :)

Some of the tracks are very old to me, and some of them very new – maybe the biggest gap between these things in any mix I've put together recently. In a way, that might reflect the uncertain times.

Perfectly laced foreign folk, video game nostalgia (I’ve been waiting years for that Donkey kong drip), otherworldly neo-pop, future jazz, avant-rock, sprinkled with some Finnish masterpieces, it's all here, the trip we all need without leaving your own little bubble, wherever you are in the world. The perfect mixtape to end the year.
