Slam and Obscure Shape & SHDW step up for the second wave of Radio Slave ‘Grindhouse’ remixes on Rekids this February.

One of techno’s most iconic records, ‘Grindhouse’ first appeared on Radio Slave’s ‘No Sleep’ series before spawning multiple remixes from Dubfire, Danton Eeprom, Terence Fixmer and Nic Fanciulli. Kick-started by Len Faki, last year saw the announcement of a series of remixes with more to come from Vatican Shadow, Markus Suckut, Lady Starlight and Special Request.

Complete with relentless kicks, sinister drones and industrial elements, Part Two is not for the faint-hearted. Starting with Slam, the Soma bosses keep things dark, with rattling top lines and echoing effects resulting in a truly decadent techno floor destroyer.

Following a remix of Radio Slave’s ‘Vision’ in 2016, Obscure Shape & SHDW’s abilities are held in high regard by the Rekids owner and their rework of ‘Grindhouse’ reinforces why. Complete with a rumbling low- end, metallic melodies and soaring synths, the From Another Mind founders continue to establish themselves as two of techno’s most exciting names.

Bionic Romance EP is Anetha’s second release on Blocaus series following 2017's very successful Leftover Love EP. Once again, Anetha continues to play to her strengths and delivers four tracks - diverse and rich in the depth, texture and hypnotism of techno deep space explorations. On the A-Side, ‘Myiuki & Patrizia’ starts the release as an intricate, atmospheric title track with warm synth lines ; ‘Ultra Speed Dating’ features a muscular four-to-the-floor beat and a perpetual stomp to devastating effect perfect for peak-time. On the B-Side, ‘Silicon Desire’ takes us in a slightly melancholic direction with its hypnotic pulses. ‘Virtual Ritual’ closes the EP as no nonsense purified techno with a raw groove. One of Poland's freshest exports, if you don't know already, this is Sept and with his 'Mental Statement' EP for our 6th edition. 3x XXL bombs complimented with a heavyweight Joe Farr remix. 

Warsaw's Sept is undoubtedly ready for a busy future, emerging well respected from his local scene to becoming an international talent. This EP is an example of some his best pieces to date, in fact they are beasts for the dance floor. The title track Mental Statement, holds a kinetic energy with an infectious and menacing hook line, along with a taunting vocal 'Live, Die, Repeat'. Bristolian Joe Farr reworks the mayhem in his signature style, adding distortion, hooks and a multitude of devilish drops.

On the flip side more WMD's for the bag, 'Exhale' is a relentless naughty stomper that will slide well into any peak time. As will its dark horse counterpart 'Unleash', never more appropriate has been the saying... last, but not least. This is the type of carnage we endeavour to deliver in our movement, already this track has erupted many a rave played by a select few, with its 90's Jungle like break down, its been begging a track ID for time and now it's out there...

Crafted by a vinyl lover for dancing purposes, its arrangement and composition fits both, club or as an energizing home listening. This is the soundtrack for our revolution.
