I have to be honest. I was kind of stuck when it came to finding the Artwork that would best represent this song. Even though this record is a remix of a viral “TikTok” song, I felt more connected to it then a lot of my original work. Maybe it’s because of my inner resolve to finally breakthrough in my career this year. Or maybe the beat just slaps so damn hard and the lyrics come correct. Or perhaps it’s deeper than that. This past year I’ve really been thinking about legacy. What does the “Golden” name actually really mean to me? After my Grandfathers passing in September 2021, the work that I am creating, and the album I hope to release this year became so crystal clear. I’m trying to shift something fundamentally deep in my life. Really show how profound the impact my Grandparents had on all of our lives. So In a way this song represents all of their efforts and how honored I am to be a GOLDEN. I feel like this is the best depiction of that feeling.
