Here’s me, making a noise about bullying - again 🧏🏻 Because? Well if it’s not retired ~ my noise won’t get tired. 

So let me tell you about double-daffodils, Gareth and Wendy Monkley:

They’re bravely charging forth in the agency arena – being incredible and taking no prisoners, making their living off #Sanlam (and others) with their breathtaking, industry-leading digital delights. 

Just a glimpse at their Wix-made website will have you salute, and then connect the dots for why they sulk about my storytelling on YouTube / SoundCloud, and lodge complaints to those platforms so that my content is removed. 

I’m obviously still learning – and was reminded so when Wendy said my career-level experience was that of an intern… Their company profiles on the various, industry-relevant platforms get me giddy with awe and I can understand why they’d pout for my versions that don’t applaud them. 

My face-palm confusion is that from 1st July to ±22nd October, I was the favourite boytjie, showered with love, and and and… but must have then, thereabouts, stumbled into some bad lighting. 

It’s still lank-dark here, and my bank account has about R0,04c in it. Here’s me not agreeing that I fvkced this one up. 

Do you guys think Wendy and Gareth would be cute for a Krimbo snack with someone from Sanlam? We could grease the wheel about integrity, dosh, and digital (so I can learn because I’ve been assured I don’t know what I’m doing when it comes to that, hashtag-intern, hashtag-novice). 

Pffft.

mixtures of conjecture 
smuggled
mumbled 
muffled in unmagical lectures 
so lacking in flexor 
grunge 
the texture 
that tastes like a tester 
I never ordered 
stuck record
just rotation 
without origination or sensation 
no extraordinary manifestation 
just plumbing 
with more 
nothing 
but…
this calamity 
this vanity of insanity 
its easy derision
such brutality 
self’s treason 
furied fusions of delusions 
for all the wrong reasons
and here 
in this crucible
I am the season  
of unusable
of unsuitable   
such misplaced invocation 
such stagnant inaction
and the surcharge  
while my batteries recharge 
is chronic 
carbonic catatonic 
without remission 
and those forgone admissions and lost permissions
would do better to remember 
that 
for all the right reasons 
even with its porcelain barbican 
my imagination’s formation 
doesn’t stop at just one station 
but tractions with refraction 
to undarken 
the stings 
to Light new things 
and the magic of that over and over again 
some inborn 
some reborn 
by elixir’s octane 
is about remembering that 
between the storms and the shoreward 
the fails and the forward
these are 
somehow
together as much as 
everything the Light touches 
and 
here
then
always for 
and always from
some 
of the SUM 
of my everything here created

Porcelain\Barbican • 🫀

Ernest Hemingway said that all it takes to write is to sit down at your typewriter and bleed. This is the other way I do — when the mood is best made known by the ‘mashup’. Not unlike the ways I heart-sleeve with words, but here I rearrange from the ways others wove their art form interpretations into new ways for channeling mine.
