Surgeon first encountered Jesse Dorris via live streams of his broadcasts on the legendary, independent American radio station WFMU, where his show Polyglot https://www.wfmu.org/playlists/PX mixes up new electronic sounds, queer ephemera, and vintage queasy listens each week as the sun rises over New York City. For the March 2024 instalment of Tresor Meets Surgeon, the pair team up in Globus for an all-night b2b that takes cues from Joe Meek’s studio to the GRM to the Loft—anywhere sound waves hit four walls and resonate. 
For this all night session Jesse and Tony played one hour on, one hour off with Jesse starting the night. We hope you enjoy listening to this recording as much as we did playing the music.

It was a true honour playing in the main room on one of my favorite sound systems ever. This set will forever be burnt into my memory as its one of the most enjoyable time I've had behind the decks. EPM.189 comes from Fossil Archive boss, R.M.K. Hailing from London, R.M.K is an exciting new project by Fossil Archive label head Roberto. It represents a faster and more intense take on his unique brand of Techno. He utilises his knowledge and past experiences, which include regularly playing at Berghain and Tresor in Berlin, as well as fabric in London, to develop his individual sound. R.M.K has distilled that experience into this 2-hr set, recorded directly from his residency at The Glove That Fits, London for the EPM series. Featuring Axel Karakasis, NØRBAK, Glaskin, Juri Heidemann, Volster, James Ruskin, Stephen Brown, Franco Rossi plus a brace of unreleased tracks from Vinicius Honorio & R.M.K himself we get a flawless mix of tough yet hypnotic swinging grooves.

During his 20+ year career in music, Roberto has formed friendships and worked in partnership with other respected artists such as Trevino (Marcus In-talex), Jamie Anderson, Robert Owens, Goldie and Nastia. Although the focus is always on the very heart of the most raucous of raves, R.M.K never shies away from groove and funk. This is conveyed in a Live Show that utilises classic hardware from the golden age of UK Rave and now here on this new mix for the EPM series.

Me and Ben thought it would be fun to play a long DJ set together at Globus, the upstairs floor at Tresor in Berlin. 
We last played together (as Frequency 7) in May 2013. This time we played a ‘back to back’ DJ set, I’m pretty sure playing 2 tracks each for the whole six and a half hour set. All we had in mind beforehand was to start with some Dub and ‘see where it goes’. 

It was a lot of fun so we wanted to share the recording with you.

Excited to have one of our favorite artists Amotik back on the show this week! Amotik takes the first hour and resident threehz follows in the second.

Berlin-based DJ and producer Amotik has been quietly making waves since his move to the city in 2014. Known for his driving, energetic, and atmospheric sound, he has cemented his position as a versatile figure in modern techno, both in the DJ booth and the studio.

Debuting in 2015 with a series of EPs on his self-titled imprint and later making guest appearances on 47, BPitch, and Figure, 2019 saw the release of his debut album, 'Vistār,' accompanied by a live tour, followed by the release of his second album 'Patanjali' in 2022. Both received acclaim from notable publications such as Mixmag and Groove Magazine, firmly establishing Amotik as a visionary producer. Groove Magazine, in particular, lauded him as one of their top 30 producers in their 2022/23 yearly poll.

2023 saw the launch of a new record label, AMTK+, providing a platform for like-minded artists who inspire him. Alongside his label endeavours and a touring schedule that has taken him to Berghain, De School, Fabric, Fuse, Khidi, and Printworks, to name a few.
