Las palabras de Domingo Faustino Sarmiento en su Facundo y los arrasantes malones de los indios de la Pampa y la Patagonia fundieron el barro donde la historia echó raíces.

Silvio Astier explora el territorio del olvido, de lo sepultado. Se zambulle en el milagro de la trascendencia popular para contemplar la hondura de una Pampa que pareciera mantener en silencio su secreto milenario que alguna vez rascaron payadores y trovadores.

Charukesi is one of my very very favorite ragas. Here I have tried to present it as a lullaby.  
It features the flute with the backing provided by harp, strings (cellos basses and first chair violins only), and choir; the percussive backing is done with a tabla-mridangam-kanjeera along with the manjeera (jalra)
