Johan Vilborg is not only a major contributor to our Silk Royal division, but also now a permanent co-host of our weekly Silk Royal Showcase radio show. Frequently featured on radio by the international DJ elite, Johan has quickly become a household name in the world of trance & progressive. We're excited to present two brand new remixes of a pair of classics by the Swedish star: "Second Wind" and "Altara".

First up, Silk veteran and dear friend to our imprint, Dezza, offers a euphoric take on "Second Wind". A chunky groove -- progressive house in the "classical" tradition -- is soon met by the joyful lead theme, now infused with gorgeous pad and piano layers. In the main break, Johan's original lead coalesces triumphantly with Dezza's numerous melodic layers. This is a glorious take that will make your heart sing.

Andrew Benson is a well-known Russian artist, who has contributed to numerous top tier progressive labels in recent years. We're delighted to present his Silk debut: a deep rendering of one of Johan's most famous songs, "Altara". His interpretation pays homage to the retro 80s sound, including a funky groove and "neon-tinged" synths. The main vocal theme appears in the main break, soaring above the vintage, head-bopping bassline. Fans of the current deep and 80s house revival will not be disappointed by Andrew's inspired take.

The stark landscapes and crisp climates that characterize the winter months can clarify, if not intensify, our emotions. Music released this time of year has a tendency to be especially raw and poignant, which is certainly the case for the five exceptional cuts featured on "Winter Selections 03."

The release opens with "Perfect Travel," a lush and evocative deep-progressive gem by Silk newcomer Mcvinski. The Russian talent crafts a gorgeous, almost mystical soundscape in the early going, which is soon joined by a funky and erotic groove. In the main breakdown gorgeous pads and hypnotic synths create a deep and sensual, yet equally climactic score. In the final minutes of the composition, the various melodic and atmospheric elements are re-introduced one last (glorious) time.

Excited to welcome back Illumia, whose last contribution to our imprint, "I See U," dates back to the end of 2014. The equally deep, soothing, and sexy "I Know" is proffered here; the song derives its name from an infectious vocal hook that appears throughout the composition, in varying pitches. A buoyant and uplifting groove underpins the arrangement, and a variety of subtle and elegant melodic touches further enhance the sanguine soundscape. 

Responsible for two glorious deep-progressive EPs on our imprint in 2017, Alex Pich contributes "Way Home Inside," another standout tune from the promising Russian composer. Subtly melodic, yet profoundly evocative textures envelop the soundscape in the early going. A patient rhythmic crescendo ultimately leads to a suspenseful, string-backed breakdown. The delicious tension of the arrangement is finally released in the song's latter half, in which the delicate (and gorgeous) melodic layers coalesce to lush and emotive effect.

Itwo5 (Ukraine) and singer-songwriter Ana Ana (Germany), both Silk Music newcomers, grace the achingly beautiful "Sea." Chilled beats and moody pads underpin Ana Ana's wistful vocals. The innovative broken-beat rhythm picks up a little bit of steam as the song progresses, but the overall listening experience, ideally suited for the after hours, is one of deep contemplation for the listener.

Conor Hynes officially launches his Aleyum alias on our imprint, courtesy of the stunning progressive breaks cut "Soul Remedy." The Irish talent crafts a celestial soundscape in the early going, replete with ethereal pads, cinematic atmospheric touches, and, of course, star-studded synth lines. The deeply cathartic main breakdown unites the harmonious sounds of Mother Nature with the gorgeous melody lines introduced earlier in the song, including a timeless guitar riff.

Melodic progressive heartthrob Skua is here to steal the show with an awe-inspiring remix of Skyline Project’s “Sunlight.” Sensual grooves and aperitive chords swirl together, while a subtle balance of percussive and melodic elements transport listeners into a celestial dream state.

The sun-a-thon continues with progressive sensation Sundriver’s reimagining of Blue Horizon’s “Away.” Be whisked away into the sun-drenched auroral skies, in which sirenic pads and tantalizing basslines liquify into a golden dawn. 

No euphoric sunscreen is strong enough to resist the heatwaves on this Ron with Leeds “Islands” remix. This duo, renowned for their diverse sounds and mixing arrangements, therapeutically delivers epic chord progressions, climatic builds, and euphoric drops. The cherry on top is the emphasis on the sirenic vocal cuts that send the listener into a profound stasis. 

Mark Digital resurrects our first Soluna release, “Jack’s Creed,” with a powerfully evocative remix. Boisterous chord progressions and enthusiastic basslines take the listener through a spiraling conviviality of good-natured feelings and emotions. 

Cast the line, bait, and hook. To be drawn into the melodic mysticism of Sunlight Project’s spiritual remix of “Suns8tionaL” is intrinsically inevitable. Deep currents of arpeggiated chords, circulating basslines, and hypnotic melodies will indubitably liberate one of any lingering uncertainties. 

Returning to our beloved audible city, “San Francisco,” Blue Horizon repaints the urban landscape with warm, vibrant colors and soft tones depicting a setting sun in its moment of twilight. Balearic guitar plucks, atmospheric pads, and a dreamy breakdown characterize the aesthetics.

We proudly announce AxelPolo and AnnihElectric’s debut on our imprint. Together, the duo converts progressive “Nephilim” into a supercharged club floor anthem. A melodic surge ripples through this electrical conduit. Electro-influenced basslines and uplifting melodies give this massive dancefloor appeal.  

Recently released “Pour Que Tu Restes” extends its radiant moment to shine with a fabulous progressive rendition by Outfade. Ambient melodies carve into balearic-chiseled grooves that sift over a lush tempo and thumping bass kicks.
