The influences of the early 2000's early tech house scene are clear in Left on Para, a tasteful hypnotic roller which combines dubbed out vocals with a lurching bassline. Full release is dropping on 19th August, with only 100 records available worldwide, via the Out of Sorts bandcamp.'

Acid Waxa are delighted to present the latest release from Joe Howe, whose previous incarnations include Ben Butler & Mousepad, Germlin and Sunbutler (with Momus). On his second long player for the label, the Scottish producer, sound-artist and composer ventures out onto a more upbeat, piano-laden affair, which is the direct result of installing both acoustic and electronic pianos at his home studio in Glasgow. Rhythmically speaking, Wyped Out finds Howe stepping out into more breakbeat territory, while continuing with the fun and frenzied KPM-esque, library music laughs of his last long player (Plastic Thought). The new record also sees a welcomed collaboration by way of the Tokyo based producer and artist Ryota Miyaka, whose expressive MIDI voicing and glassy FM synth work can be heard giving light and shade to Joe’s tough electro beat on ‘Plug’. The cherry on the cake then is Josh Aitken’s playful and inspired animations and album artwork, which depicts a seemingly innocent home office bod being terrorized by various bugs, viruses and digital demons.

Off The Meds is a Swedish-South African crew based in Stockholm, consisting of producers Adrian Lux, Carli Löf and Måns Glaeser with vocalist Kamohelo Khoaripe. Belter is their first full solo release, arriving on Studio Barnhus 7 months after the band's low-slung, ethio-jazz-influenced hip-house burner Currency Low appeared as one of the standouts of 2018's much-lauded label compilation Studio Barnhus Volym 1.

A relentlessly catchy party starter, Belter combines classic rave elements with cutting edge production techniques and Kamo's pitch-shifted rapid-fire vocals.
Already a key feature in recent sets by the Studio Barnhus posse as well as London top selector Joy O, the latter took it upon himself to remix the track, turning it into an extended broken techno trip, a few shades darker and dubbier than the original.
