Everyone’s favourite bangin’ Brisbane duo X CLUB. ready up four typically in your face cuts of driving, textured techno on 1Ø PILLS MATE that have us dreaming of giant warehouses and sweaty hugs. Channeling big rave energy from grime, electro and breaks - and ultimately using this influence to texture their heavy sound - the pair take inspiration from the 90’s rave movement and contemporary experimental artists.

‘Turning A Blind Eye To This Nonsense’ delivers on the escapism it promises, staying true to the driven aesthetic that the duo have become known for; sirens blaring, deep atmospherics and uncompromising rave. Fellow Australian Mutant Joe is enlisted on ‘Silo’ - an acid dipped techno-electro workout spawned from the depths of hell.

The record's biggest moments arrive on ‘Beta Rays’, where both the artist's interest in sound design and sonic engineering across their respective solo projects really shines across 8 minutes of cinematic rave. Managing to capture the nostalgic rave feeling that Bicep’s ‘Glue’ channelled to roaring success, X CLUB. serve up an emotionally-driven journey that is destined to dominate sound systems around the globe.

Their UK influence is felt most heavily on ‘300mpbs’ (½ of the duo, Benedict Clarke, is actually from Bristol); a gnarly cut of snarling drum & bass influenced breaks that is sure to incite a gun-finger trigger rush in the club.

We’ve got a big Friday premiere courtesy of Denham Audio & Swankout as they team up for a happy hardcore link up. The pair for a feel good rave work out packed with jarring breaks, athematic piano chords and pummelling bass.

Club Glow co founder Denham Audio is no stranger to linking up with friends. Running the label alongside fellow break smiths ManiFesto, LMajor and Borai, the rave-focused producer has established the imprint as one of a leading name in acid hooks, lairy basslines and whiplash-inducing breakbeats, and here on CheekySneakers-he readies the release of five varied cuts of low-end pressure and sky-high euphoria alongside Swankout, Thug widow and CocoBryce.

Denham Audio have given the UK’s rave scene a fresh sense of intensity and vitality. The sound they’re pushing is steeped in UK hardcore’s past, but those bedrock sounds and genres have been spruced up, flowing into the buoyant areas of experimentation bouncing from 140 and 160 BPM.

‘Good Time’ does what it says. A cut of happy-hardcore inspired breaks beamed straight from the Midlands; there is just enough headsy energy to keep the chin-stokers entertained, whilst inspiring an emotional, smiling release for those whose infatuations lie closer to ravey keys and Bangface Weekenders.

Catalonian stallion Sr. Wilson, vocalist & key MC of the O.B.F crew, pours his heart out (and nearly gets it eaten) on fresh rub-a-dub track “Vampire Dance”. The track pays tribute to Jamaican “duppy stories”; taking direct inspiration from rub-a-dub specialists Clint Eastwood, General Saint, Lone Ranger and Early B who mastered the style in the 80s.
This heavily danceable track, built on a solid rootsy riddim, combines love song, sound system session and horror movie like never before. A love at first sight in the dance, a captivating romance that literally turns to terror! Reggae, rub-a-dub and vampires: an intriguing combination brought to you here in full O.B.F fashion!

Australian based ambassadors of genre fusing techno X CLUB. make their anticipated EP debut with ’SCUM’. Shifting between hasty breaks and propulsive 4/4 kicks, the EP focuses upon a definitive neo-futuristic rave sound inspired by a combination of 90s rave, jungle, electro and warehouse techno. Amongst clear hints of nostalgic influence, X CLUB. have involved a quantitive level of abrasive digital and analogue sound design in sculpting their signature techno-grime texture. Featuring four dynamic heaving club cuts, ‘SCUM’ explores tones of darkness while inducing a trance-like sense of euphoria. Blasts of contorted synth tones rage against mechanic percussive rhythms manifesting the scene of a dystopian industrial rave set neither in the past nor future.

‘SCUM’ is officially set for release on July 2nd via brand new Brisbane based electronic label Earthed.
