1Forty has found another unearthed gem in the way of AfterHours. ‘Dubplate’ is the London producers first ever release and it was all curated around the Korg M1 synth including rebuilding the eskimo style. Something that was of particular interest to 1Forty considering the vast majority of producers coming through are using a mainly software such as Massive & Serum.

AfterHours background consists of largely Dubstep & Grime first getting into producing back in 2012. Education soon took over a year later and the 21 year old fell out the loop for a couple of years until Summer of 2017 where the resurgence in the underground scene inspired him to get back into production focusing on his complex sound design. Benteki has recently supported some of his material on Reprezent Radio.

Well well, what a whopper we've got here. After previously premiering his earth-shattering remix of Retrospect's 'Jewel' on Articulate Records, Fork And Knife is back on the channel, this time with a stupendous self-release. As one of our favourite artists to properly break through recently, F&K has really been smashing it recently with a no-holds-barred polymerisation of groundshaking bass, 140 grit and cascading, grime-influenced sound design. 'Ventilator' carries on that trend, with a succinct intro fully allowing that main body to sonically rupture everything in its path. Someone call the fire brigade.

For their 54th digital imprint @influxaudio brings forth an EP filled with basslines to the brim, in the literal sense of the word as @sekt-87 returns for his second EP on the label.
Here he's gone in with absolute no regard for anyone's safety in the dance, crafting 3 rip roaring Bassline tracks that are In:flux Audio through and through, whilst also retaining some of those production flourishes that let you know Sekt-87 is on the dials.

@inner-realms remix caught our attention as he transforms the entire track into a 140 crossover using the same samples to create a new and creative take on the original.

ManGo delivers his first 140 production on the label with ‘XO’, what can only be described as a new school ‘wifey riddim’ with an array of female vocal stabs making the perfect addition to a Grime DJ’s arsenal to switch up any live set with MC’s in toe.

The Bristolian producer has been based in Cardiff the past three years whilst at university. During that time he has embedded himself into the Welsh events scene hosting a number of 140 and UKG orientated events welcoming the likes of Sir Hiss. Throughout that time he’s also had an incredible output on the production side of things, self releasing a number of tracks across the 140 and UKG spectrum as well as via labels such as Project Allout Records. ‘XO’ shows the influence both genres have had on his production style making what you could call softer melodic Grime for his second 1Forty release.
