Take a trip to the e-lemental.Music INNER SANCTUM with a Journey that draws you in with its hypnotic minimalism, thorough the carefully selected deep house and all the way until the beautiful end. Dated mixes always include a good amount of new releases, and this is no exception. The mix opens with Drain Pipe's untitled track from 1998 on Tonika Recordings, a record I used to have and was able to find a 2021 release of the digitized vinyl. Still sounds as good as in the 90s, if not better and offers a perfect start to the Journey to the Inner Sanctum. So take a trip!

In “Each Moment Replacing the Last,” Chris takes a special interest in drones and slowly undulating waves of sound. It contains some of his most restrained and minimalist compositions. What arises in the stillness is a keen awareness of both the notes and the empty space around them. As with much of his music, those spaces are usually occupied with some subtle movement—field recordings and the rustle of household objects. “Each Moment” emerges as a meditation on organic noise and silence.

It’s always said that the second album by any band is the difficult one to create and release. This could well have been the case for the duo d’Voxx who launched their debut record “Télégraphe” (DiN58) on DiN in 2019 too much critical acclaim. Rather than continuing in the same vein they have really raised the bar with a stunning sonic interpretation of the classic twentieth century novel “1984” by George Orwell. Not only that but they have the blessing and permission of the estate of the late Sonia Brownell Orwell to not just use the novel’s title but to directly quote from this seminal work.

Over the course of eight tightly focused tracks, which feature stunning sound design, what unfolds is a musical work that really captures the essence of this great work. Male and female voices quote from the novel as modular systems churn and chatter around their syllables. Throbbing sequence lines and incessant percussion grooves worm their way into your consciousness as the overall sense of unease and paranoia is gradually ramped up throughout the course of the album. Heartrending strings and melodic themes twist and turn to superimpose an emotional layer over the brutality of the underlying message.

Written in 1949 the dystopian themes of the novel seem even more relevant today than when it was first published. Most importantly the ways that truth and reality can be manipulated by governments and large corporations seem to be an insidious force that affects us all. This unique album by d’Voxx could well be the greatest musical interpretation of this novel to date and is another milestone in the burgeoning catalogue of the DiN imprint.

When the handcuffs snapped tightly on the wrists of Spacelunch, who had just regained consciousness, he found himself in a prisoner's uniform and with marks of a taser on his arms. All of it suggested that the plan had failed miserably. The Venus-16 detention centre served as a transit hub for those whose fate, after grandiose crimes, was ruled in favour of the government. From here, you could get a one-way ticket – a lonely flying prison.

Rattling a bunch of keys and quietly grunting, the elderly caretaker Delacroix took the professor away for interrogations late at night and brought him back only at dawn. The entourage of the cell in the death penalty block was remarkably austere and lacking any amenities. The atmosphere reflected the impotence in front of the all-consuming system. The main suspect in the theft case of a large load of blue crystals was too depressed to even think for a second about an escape plan.

It's been a Minute, New Recordings coming! New Synth on sale from Amazon - UNO SYNTH X PRO... 128 presets room for 256. Sounds Great so far and Syncs up real well with the setup described below.

Music Label run by a long-time DJ LEM, living on the West Coast diving deep into Music Production, especially the Live Performance kind. 

[PUSH 2] and [Behringer CRAVE] have been added to the proof-of-concept rig in my living room. This is running on Ableton Live 12, as they give you a second license activation with the Suite. [Donner Essential B1] is my 3rd 303 Unit - this one I bought because of a real good phat 303 sound and 128 pattern capacity plus it comes with a very decent delay.  [Arturia Keystep PRO] has arrived in the e-lemental.Music Studio... it was the last new unit in Vancouver and came at a hefty price for a MIDI Controller but I recon with the amount of Gear accumulated here, especially the semi-modulars, the Keystep Pro will be very useful tool indeed. Pictured here with the Beatstep Pro, one Sync Cable between them offers me control of 5 Melodic Sequencers and 2 Drums, or 6 Melodic and 1 Drum. This setup got me on fire and the Roland TR-8S is the perfect drum machine companion to these. 

[Arturia MiniBrute 2S] and [DrumBrute Impact] is my favorite setup for harsher sonic territories such as Industrial and Hard Techno, but far from limited to that. Please check out  my Track named "MURKY MEMORIES" to hear these two in action. Linked with a Sync cable they act as two parts of One Unit and sonically complimentary to one another. The Patch Bay on the 2S is very useful and the sequencer is very powerful and the reason I bought this one instead of the keyboard version.

[Ambient Zero] and [Korg Wavestate MK2] linked with a MIDI cable is my latest favorite setup for AMBIENT/DRONE Music. This will likely be paired up with other Units and Ableton Live's Drone Lab Instrument, which comes in at 8.6GB.

[Behringer Triple Rack] is finally done, Neutron was my first semi-modular analogue synth, followed by the Proton when it came out, and the MS-20 clone K2 came a few weeks ago from Poland to complete the rack. That means STUDIO v3.0 Photo shoot is coming! Will be done once the Live Rig (below) and the Rack are hooked up.

NXT RECORDING -- LIVE with no playlist so completely spontaneous ALL selected from my Vinyl/Vinyl Sourced Collection of Quality Tracks mixed with ROLAND TR-8S Drum Machine Beast with its 128 excellent drum kits and 128 Patterns. This is to celebrate the TIGHT SYNC between the TR-8S and Traktor using MIDI Clock and moving one step closer towards completely LIVE UNSCRIPTED Mixes with the Drum Machine Wonder.... I will call these types of mixes FRESH and with adding live drum patterns it becomes a LIVE PA MIX. NXT Dated Lem Sessions at 120BPM is right between the couch and the dancefloor. a mix of styles that sound good at that tempo.

The ReDSCAPe vinyls have arrived - gorgeous red and black (4). The Ilian Tape Vinyl is here too. Latest (echospace) Detroit Vinyls from CV313 have arrived, blue vinyl pictured is SAILINGSTARS and is absolutely sublime. The cherry vinyl is in my repost section if you want to check it out, it's CV313 plays Mike Huckaby. They will both be featured on the next Sessions. 

2025 will mark the first Track Releases (not just DJ mixes) on e-lemental.Music label. Look for a First Single, then First EP leading to First Album. I am open to other Artists joining the label at some point, but not until those three things are realized.

I have not been able to recover access to my other account [https://soundcloud.com/ha-kekong] for a couple of years.  I have tried a few times to get back into it but SoundCloud doesn't trust me.  Same phone number, same email addresses, and they still claim that they can't verify my identity.  I created that account about three years ago as a substitute to my regular account which SoundCloud temporarily closed.  They closed it as part of some upgrade procedure in their system, the result of a bug that affected many accounts, about two years ago.  Since SC did not inform its users I didn't know if that was permanent or not, so I created that other account which I can't access.
