This is the 7th song posted from the album I have been working on using demo tracks given to me by Wou-Wou & the Wormling during the start of the pandemic! I can't believe how fast time has passed and how long we have been working on this project. 4 songs from the album are based on a graphic novel that Wou-Wou had started before the pandemic began. The rest of the songs are reflections of the weird times we were living in.

Big thanks to Wou Wou, Bit-zone, and Stricknice for still being here after all these years. I have known and worked with people on SoundCloud probably longer than I have known high school friends, college friends, and friends from various jobs. Huge thanks to Guitar Wizards of the Future. I remember when I first began participating in the SoundCloud community, I would always eagerly anticipate a new GWOTF track, especially because I grew up in Oakland California. This is a song that JJ came up with on the electric piano and shared with the rest of us. He's done a significant portion of the songwriting for the Eclectic Collective, and always gives us quality songs, to which are easy to add our voices. When he sent it to us, he had a rough bass on there that sounded like Lust for Life. Ken came up with a killer and appropriate beat, which, if you can picture Lust For Life, included a lot of accentuated bass kicks. So, I took and went with that, and came up with a funky bass line. Ken and he kicked it back and forth a few times till they linked up. Then JJ added some funky ass organ and trippy retro synth to spice it up.
  Then it was time to send it to the guitarist. Tez laid down some smoking lead solos throughout, with his signature fiery guitar tone and amazing licks. Then Stephen funked it up even more with a fonky-ass wah guitar track.
  Ken produced and mixed this one for us, and what an excellent job he did, too. This was so much fun to create. We all hope you enjoy listening to our jam as much as we did playing it.

Missing those early summer sounds as birds established their territories and relationships with a chorus of chattering, piping, trilling and cawing. What a racket...but a beautiful one!

narration: One of the greatest creative artist on soundcloud, stonerjazz soundcloud.com/user-911083679/tracks, my friend Jeff, has composed a song shock full of paranoia, existential threat and hope for redemption and salvation - a truthful portrayal of the human condition. It is a mesmerizing work of art as it stands. When I approached him concerning a possible collab for my upcoming soundcloud-only album 'songs to pacify extraterrestrials' (out by the end of November 2023), he offered this to me. I was in a fix: How can you work on something that is already perfect, complete in itself? Eventually, I decided to take a cynical approach and turn it into an intergalactic commercial for tooth --- no, fangpaste. There was a challenge in bringing about the non-music so typical for the advertising industry. Virtual midi-operated synthesizers helped. During gestation, I called those interludes and overlays PCBs, short for 'psychotic commercial break' or 'paranoid commercial breakdown'. They are of somewhat juvenile humor and also have some Douglas Adams vibes, I hope, Marvin-style. None of my recontextualization does the existential thrill (and especially the hope for liberation) of the original any justice at all - quite in the contrary. It was a morbid kind of fun to create, though ... and, to my utter astonishment, Jeff liked it and edged me on during the process. Well, here you are. It's (be)coming for you!
