I'm very glad to share this great piece, came through an intense step by step collaboration with Jowwwafi. It started by fitting one of my old poems to some chords he sent to me, then... well you'll get the best description by listening to it 5 or 6 times ;)

This is the 7th song posted from the album I have been working on using demo tracks given to me by Wou-Wou & the Wormling during the start of the pandemic! I can't believe how fast time has passed and how long we have been working on this project. 4 songs from the album are based on a graphic novel that Wou-Wou had started before the pandemic began. The rest of the songs are reflections of the weird times we were living in.

Big thanks to Wou Wou, Bit-zone, and Stricknice for still being here after all these years. I have known and worked with people on SoundCloud probably longer than I have known high school friends, college friends, and friends from various jobs. Huge thanks to Guitar Wizards of the Future. I remember when I first began participating in the SoundCloud community, I would always eagerly anticipate a new GWOTF track, especially because I grew up in Oakland California. The Alert - IPG1 & Lillithe

Whilst transfering files from my laptop to my new computer I came across this unfinished project I'd started just before the first lockdown. Then along with my other problems concerning my hearing this was another that got put on hold. Originally written for a vocal  which because of life sadly did'nt work out I decided to  add some guitar, a string ensemble and a horn section to fill out the sound. I'm happy I found it. The first notes of this song came to me in May 2022, just after composing “Même si tout s'arrête”. Perhaps this explains a certain resemblance in the way they were constructed, namely vintage synth chords which serve as support for the melody and a theme speaking of a love story. But the comparison stops there because the two titles really each have their own character and identity which distinguish them from each other without hesitation.
This song was in the works for almost a year, before I wrote the lyrics last May, and recorded it. Then my friend Freddie from MTM Production put his touch to re-mix and master this title, giving it some punch and all the necessary dynamics. Freddie, thank you again for all the experience and time you give to my creations. In my eyes, it is of inestimable value.
I hope you enjoy discovering this title, at least as much pleasure as I had writing and producing it. As usual, don't hesitate to "like" and repost, it's very appreciated and so important to Freddie and me!

Introduction in English:

On a Saturday, 9 June 1989, I receive a phone call from my mother at around 6 am. She seems to be laughing. But as it soon turns out, tears are bursting out of her. At first she can only say one sentence: "Your father is dead". Then her voice fails. I, who has just been roused from my sleep by the ringing, at first think it's a bad joke. My father, not even 55 years old, dead, who had been so full of energy in the last few months? With whom I had spoken lively on the phone just a week ago?
Then my eldest sister comes to the phone. She speaks like a robot, as if she has frozen all her feelings inside herself.
She confirms the sudden death of my father from a heart attack and urges me to come immediately from Berlin to southern Germany (800 kilometres away).
Much of what happened after that - from the last encounter with my father in the morgue, to the years of vacillating between feelings of liberation and sometimes massively frightening "I'll bring you to me in the realm of the dead" nightmares after his funeral, to finding a deeper inner peace with him in the last few years - I wrote down and sang about in the following song "My Father in Heaven".      
However, the song lyrics are not chronological, but set in 2011, in which I am all alone on a beautiful summer day in the cemetery where my father's grave is located. From this day I start a retrospective and an outlook.

Hypercube is a polytempic polymicrotonal string quartet in four tunings and tempos, 12, 19, 31, and 53 tet, and 96, 76, 124, and 106 BPM,  for my doctorate thesis in 2012. This is a live concert recording of  Neo Quartet from Poland and is performed live in Paris Sept. 17, 2023. Yes, the quartet is using click tracks in personal ear buds from their devices. I worked with them on click tracks and the tunings are fairly good, from three other "mean tone" tunings aside from the 12tet in the first violin, to show the microtonal differences.
