Secret Feelings opens the month of May with a new single from label boss JFR. Hailing from Argentina but currently calling Spain home, Juan Franco Rivero aka JFR has carved out a unique sonic identity in the world of progressive and organic house, resulting in a string of uniquely crafted records that present a resonant worldly sound. Enjoying a steady rise since emerging 2017, it was 2021 which proved to be a breakout year for JFR, as the Argentine continued his upward trajectory with a standout release for UK behemoth Anjunadeep; a project which would lead to offerings via Clubsonica and Musique de Lune across the next calendar year, and in turn garnering support from Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren and Sebastian Leger. 2023 would also bring newfound success for JFR, launching his Secret Feelings imprint in September with 'Anatonic', before ending the year with the critically acclaimed five-track showcase '21 Angels'. With three successful single's to begin 2024, the most recent of which was April's 'Morning Feelings', the Barcelona resident continues to build his Secret Feeling imprint with a new single entitled 'Kain', alongside remixes from Evegrem, Mazayr and Anton Borin.

If you're into house music, chances are you will have heard 'Son Of Raw' by the don, Dennis Ferrer. It's a seminal track that features sumptuous pianos, rolling percussion and timeless vocals that simply ooze seduction. Basically, it's a fucking classic.

What's most shocking about the track is that it's now 10-years-old and even though Ferrer was producing long before that, it's one of his best and most recognisable tracks. To celebrate the anniversary, Ferrer's label Objektivity will release a brand new set of remixes that each put a unique spin on the original stomper.

André Hommen's remix keeps the main melodies intact but adds a bassline that doesn't mess around. It adds an extra element of bounce and once the second half of the track hits, those sultry vocals come charging in, sending goosebumps up any real house music fan's spine.

Berlin based NineToes aka Özgür Yelmen is back, proving once again that he is not a one hit Ibiza Wonder with All Night Long. All night long release October 26th on Moon Harbour is a slowly building house banger evolving around a raw industrial percussion stab, deep bass and hypnotic synth stabs. 

Following on from label boss Matthias Tanzmann's latest and great LP, Moon Harbour announce the return of a big talent to their ranks: that person is Ninetoes, aka German producer Özgür Yelmen, and he serves up a fine new single that finds brothers Santè and Re.You appearing together for the first time ever as remixers on the same EP.

Stuttgart's Yelmen has been busy in the last three years, making a name for himself as a producer with real skills after initially starting out making hip hop. His tunes, as well as lighting up Ibiza in recent summers, have got into the DJ bags of those who know and are always slick and engaging affairs that include a recent hit, 'Finder,' just recently reworked with none other than rave royalty Fatboy Slim. He has released on labels like Kling Klong, Saved Records and Play It Down, as well as contributing to Moon Harbour's Inhouse Vol.7, so is a man on the rise.

His standout offering here is ‘All Night Long,’ a texturally rich tech house cut with plenty of grit in the drums and coarse hits, but a smooth sense of soul in the subtle vocal yells that are buried in the groove. It is a peak time cut with real heart as well as plenty of drive, and is sure to become another big anthem for the man behind it.

Santè is a key player in the house world right now thanks to the influence of his Avotre label. This is his second remix on the label after a debut last year and finds the German artist reworking the track into a more dubbed out and bouncy roller that is stripped back and as fun as it is functional. It is a brilliantly no frills affair that will do plenty of damage.

Lastly, label regular Re.You adds his own spin and the fantastic result is six minutes of teasing, playful tech with bleepy melodies, deep drones and reverb heavy vocals that cast a truly hypnotic spell on all those who hear it.

Once again this is a refreshing and robust three track package that will invigorate any dance floor.

Headz up! Guti’s current club cutter ‘Red Eye’ continues to wriggle and writhe its way hypnotically into our sets and psyches with these two crucial versions from one of house and techno’s most respected gentlemen… The one and only Kenny Larkin.

Weighing in at a combined length of 20+ minutes, both remixes capture the Detroit legend at his deepest and most cosmic with his hands glued to the dials. Not just part of the biggest single from Guti’s ‘Year Of The Conga’ album so far, they also tell a unique tale of their own…

These mixes were originally meant for the full release earlier this year, alongside killer mixes from Loco Dice and Priku. But when Larkin received a shiny new Moog One he rang Guti and label bosses the Martinez Brother and told them that they’d have to wait… He was about go back in with a whole new modular perspective.

You can feel it, too; that deep throb on the subs and trippy psychedelic swirls of his ‘Black Eye’ mix and that wobbling voluptuous bassline in his ‘Pink Eye’ mix are just two examples of Kenny’s attention to sonic detail and pure analogweight on these two immersive, alluring remixes.

Well worth the wait, and another precision chapter to the beautiful back-to-roots adventure that is Guti’s third artist album ‘Year Of The Conga’, don’t sleep on these… They’re going out strictly as Record Store Day specials. Vinyl crew, this one’s for you.
