もう少し a Little More

My mother used to be a primary teacher for 36 years in Seoul. 
She really loved her students  from the and as an faithful member of church she almost devoted generously herself in supporting poor neighbors.
I routinely went to her classroom after the school is over because I attended the same school where my mom taught. Occupying mom’s desk and chair I did my home work until she has finished the day’s teaching and school affairs. Some times I practiced piano or violin. Occasionally she playfully sang  with the accompaniment of the piano tunes I played. We really enjoyed sing and play such tunes as children’s song, hymns, and popular songs. When I practiced violin, she offered piano or organ accompaniment. Mom and I really enjoyed such occasions although we were not very good in playing and singing songs. My mom’s intention was just encourage me in picking up the skills, and preventing me from getting easily bored in practicing the instrument. The scene in which my mom and I spent in the empty class singing and playing the piano is still vivid and deeply touching my heart.

I became a middle school student.
One day when I was a third grade middle school student, an “terrible” illness grabbed my mom. Alzheimer’s Disease! The incurable disease, which is known common among aged people, attacked a healthy and vigorous woman of middle ages.  Since then She is now traveling with time in bed for about more than10 years. She can’t talk and move. I am unable to communicate to her. Mom’s illness has entirely changed the lifestyle of family members. She is a woman of beauty and small body, but now she has become smaller and weaker. 
As a beloved youngest daughter, there left almost nothing to do for my mom except for praying. Closely watching the sad process in which my mom struggles with the illness, I deeply felt I am also becoming smaller day by day, year after year, acutely  realizing the ultimate licitness of human  capability. I repeated collapsing and arising. 

It is true that pains or miseries of life often lead us to a better life and  truthfulness of human life.
My mom’s illness, I am convinced, has led me so far to meeting personally My Lord who is Love and Hope. I received Jesus as my All mighty Lord and I have become to embrace the Hoe and Eternity.
Now I tastes fear and sorrow from time to time. But at the same time, I am experiencing the overwhelming Peace is being rooted firmly in me. Love, Hope, and Faith, I am convinced are the great and most thankful gift my mom gives to me.

This small piece of music is my prayer for my beloved Mother, and an expression of my love.
I sincerely hope that my mom listens and understands my hope and love toward  you my beloved Mom. I want you to understand what I say through this small piece of music I composed. I believe in the vital force of life in music! Get better, Mom! 

This is my gift for you, Mom!
