Invisible Stone is a one-of-a-kind collaboration between three of Newcastle’s most bold and experimental artists, lovedavid, e4444e and Skip Willcox, taking place at the Seymour Theatre on Thursday the 24th June. Combining art, sound and dance to create a fully immersive experience, Invisible Stone guides the audience on an ethereal journey through the unknown. A true collaborative work, lovedavid (Creative Director), e4444e (Sound Design) and Skip Willcox (Choreography) blend sonic compositions with distinct visual environments to explore the interplay between the cosmic and the mundane. lovedavid, e4444e and Skip Willcox pose the question of what is beyond and within us, as the intertwining of these unique artists’ respective disciplines unfold onstage.

WITH SO MUCH POTENTIAL
There are ghosts behind the stone! There is more behind this feeling.
There are invisible foundations. There are things guiding my every day.
The Invisible Stone represents what we cannot see, though it is ever present, influencing our everyday lives in ways we can’t yet imagine. It is a totem of the potential for change, for understanding and awareness, both of ourselves and the synonymic world surrounding us.
Maybe if we were to find out more, there would be a shift in how we see, shift in how we feel.
But who is to know? There is so much more unexplored.
The Stone is unexplored, and will remain unexplored, unseen. If it were to be seen, it would be different, it too would change.
Going down personal pathways we find the universal. Connecting to the world we connect to ourselves. The path to the stone is a path towards growth, towards being.
The Invisible Stone negates itself. It is solid. It is transitory. It is material. It is immaterial.
For one stone there is a million invisible forces. For one life there is a million others.

Streetlights are all around and only exist in shadows. The back of cars and distances of dub techno. The streetlight is broken outside my house. Its light shines through my friend’s window. Scuttles of splintered synthetics over puddles and uneven pavement.

Godriguez’ remix of e4’s ‘lakedawn’ is a homely jam between Dave and his housemates Jan and Carlos. Printed onto tape, the piece mirrors the flow of a bird just floating out onto the horizon, using the light wind to make do. Simple and wandering, e4’s vocals become a quiet passenger on the oceanic train that the Dave and his friends drive.
