In 2017, Benedikt Frey released his breathtaking debut album with the ESP Institute, 'Artificial', and now as we finally come up for air, we’re more than proud to offer an eclectic collection of remixes that’s nothing short of essential. Side A leads with 'H For Hysteria' remixed by a beloved hero, Nicolas Chaix a.k.a. I:Cube, one of the most prolific and respected electronic artists Paris has to offer. His touch is considered and elegant, imbuing the track with a tasteful 303+808 backbone to support an array of patiently floating melodies and angelic vocal samples. Following this, Tolouse Low Trax of Düsseldorf’s infamous Salon Des Amateurs remixes the same track, stripping instrumentation down to a skeletal palette of bass guitar and stabbing percussive punctuations, chopped up inna minimalist stylee that has become his beat-making signature. Side B leads with a remix by another Düsseldorfer, DJ Normal 4, whose re-imagination of 'Private Crimes' takes us for an even more menacing ride, half-timing the tempo and skillfully rolling out an barrage of jungle snares from rave days of yore. Closing the release is the most aggressive remix of them all, a bonafide techno beatdown of the same track by DALO, the co-producing artist to whose haunting vocals lace the original version. Her dark vision opens with sparse industrial drums that blossom into a driving assault of raw machinery, definitely not for the faint-of-heart. An all-around solid release here, fun for all the family… more than just the tip!

Rebekah makes a more than welcome return to the Soma family with the Enigma EP. The dynamic DJ and producer has been on some what of a roll since her debut album on Soma last year and has taken her furious sound to clubs around the world. With this latest EP she continues to explore the tougher sonic territories for which she is well known. 

Title track Enigma kicks off with Rebekah’s trademark fast and furious energy prominent from the start - carefully constructed percussion and destructive sound design bring the rhythm and power behind the track. The Otherside continues the onslaught with a proper marching beat driving the track with further propellant in the form of distorted vocals and synth elements. Closing out this latest EP is Eighties With You - Rebekah delves in headstrong once again building this one gradually with explosive kicks and percussion as dark, ominous tones grind the axe before once again going full pelt for more in-your-face Techno.

Following his acclaimed ‘Montreal’ EP on R&S Records last year, Benjamin Damage returns to the lauded Belgian imprint to offer up a new, breakneck and studious two-tracker 'Malfunction/Binary’.

The stellar release was created while the UK techno stalwart was traveling between London and Berlin, following recent live shows at Berghain and Oval Space. “Being on tour with all my gear I find it quite easy to work in new places,” he explains. “I like the energy of different cities and its good to keep moving.”

For its 303rd release, Tresor Records is glad to present a commissioned work by Donato Dozzy.

Rome based production maestro and DJ extraordinaire Donato Dozzy is unanimously considered as an illustrious leading light in all techno artforms.

Along his long career and extensive discography, Dozzy has proven to use his instruments most interesting ways, always re-inventing his music, always presenting new approaches to both the deeper and the more rhythmic forms of electronic music. It was self-evident to Tresor Records to enroll Donato Dozzy’s talents for this assignment, a nod to the seminal Roland TB-303 bass synthesizer.

The result is a relentless collection of radical, propulsive and bleeding-heart acid tracks. In Dozzy’s words.

Donato Dozzy wishes to dedicate this work to his lifelong friend Filo.

Tresor.303 released July 13th on 2x12” vinyl and digital.
