The field is scattered with luggage.
	And empty clothing.

No music playing in the streets
	Just the cries of a million ghosts
Or the wind whipping through the streets
	Past burnt-out buildings.

On the west side of a town
Sits an untouched neighborhood
Inside a room all painted pink
A little girl sleeps.

She didn’t die like all the rest.
Her preservation is the best.
Curled upon her little bed
Like only sleeping.

Blond hair splayed out on the pillow
Tears still stain her little face
