The SuperStream standard is part of the government's Super Reform package. It will provide a consistent, reliable electronic method of transacting linked data and payments for superannuation. The goal is to improve the efficiency of the superannuation system, to improve the timeliness of processing of rollovers and contributions, and reduce the number of lost accounts and unclaimed monies.

Every business is different, so there’s no ‘one size fits all’ approach to adopting SuperStream.  Employers have options for meeting SuperStream – either using software that conforms to SuperStream; or using a service provider who can meet SuperStream on your behalf. We recommend that you start investigating your options now.

The sharing economy (also known as collaborative consumption) is a new way of connecting buyers (‘users’) and sellers (‘providers’) for economic activities. Arrangements are generally booked through a facilitator using a website or app.
