Reinventing the client and staff experience in the tax and super systems is underpinned by our cultural transformation. We will focus the delivery of this change through six strategic programs.

The sharing economy (also known as collaborative consumption) is a new way of connecting buyers (‘users’) and sellers (‘providers’) for economic activities. Arrangements are generally booked through a facilitator using a website or app.

Michael Hardy, an Assistant Commissioner in the ATO is speaking with Eaglewaves about some of these common sharing economy activities, potential tax implications and what this means for the small business involved.
