"Over the Clouds" is a dreamy Spanish-influenced piece for solo guitar I wrote in early 2020 as the lockdown due to the COVID 19 pandemic had just gone into effect in the U.S.  The title reflects the beauty & magnificence I see when flying above the clouds.  Christopher Schoelen, who also helped me edit the piece for maximum playability, delivers an excellent interpretation of the composition.

they dance upon their branches  
hoping cold is nearly gone…


They know they have a moment or two 
Of chill to still endure
But wrapped up in their down of pink
They will still demure


To the few bold nights with bitter breath,
And some days yet fraught with frost,
For the patient anticipation
Of the warmth they once thought lost..
