Wharf Cat Records is excited to announce the Fire Dance 7” by Carson Cox (Merchandise), Sam York (WALL) and Austin Brown (Parquet Courts). This release features artwork by Wharf Cat Records OG and founding father, Sam Falls. 
The Fire Dance 7” is producer Carson Cox’s ode to downtown New York.  On “Fire Dance” and “Rene” the collaborators channel the glitz of Sam Falls’ shimmering cover artwork on tracks that resonate heat like august concrete in the city. These tracks are constructed from spliced disco rhythms, modulated synth lines, and searing guitars with Sam and Carson’s fevered vocals pulsing from all sides. This vinyl release is sure to become a collector’s item by what could accurately be described as a contemporary audio-visual dream team.

Leeds noisemakers Menace Beach release their new single Give Blood on the 20th January 2017, the single drops ahead of their sophomore album Lemon Memory out on the same day. 
Give Blood couples the raucous and scuzzy energy of Menace Beach with perhaps their most pop moment to date. Written in Ibiza, the song was the first track they recorded in Sheffield with producer Ross Orton for their album Lemon Memory. The early moments in the studio can define the whole recording process but the immediate nature of Give Blood was the perfect way to kick off the session. Lead-singer Ryan Needham elaborates.

“Starting a session with people you haven’t worked with before has the potential to be a bit daunting, but by the time we blasted through this (Give Blood) a few times it was instantly apparent there was a strong vibe there and we just rode that wave to the end of the session.” 

Menace Beach will be touring the UK as a five-piece band throughout January and February next year. Dates as follows:

Holy Ghost! - Crime Cutz (Cooper Saver Remix)

TOY have announced details of the release of a new single. Make it Mine will be released through Heavenly Recordings on Monday 10th December 2012.

The single is taken from their forthcoming self-titled debut album which was released on 10th September.

Released as a 12” and download it also will also feature a Richard Fearless remix of Drifting Deeper alongside 2 unreleased tracks, Live Electronics and the bands cover of the Velvet Underground's 'What Goes On'. 

Make It Mine was recorded during the spring of 2012 with Dan Carey in his South London studio as part of the album sessions.

Toy have just completed an extensive U.K tour which included a sold-out London Heaven show. They previously completed a 4-week residency at the Shacklewell Arms in London in January, played a sold-out show at London’s XOYO in April and appeared at most of the U.K.’s leading festivals over the summer including Reading / Leeds, Latitude, Bestival, End Of The Road, Festival No.6 and Green Man.
