Background
Inspired by Clark's Amazon Top Selling western horror mystery novel “Dead Balance”, the music and lyrics of "River of Lost Souls" continues a spiritual journey that began with “Logan’s Lament” and “In My Dream” into a surreal shadow world where Grammys® Recording Academy Artist Gary Wayne Clark (Earamas®; Rise of the Chimera & Passage to Niburu) weaves his musical vision quest. 

The Ancient Ones believe that based on our deeds in this world, some spirits are imprisoned in a purgatory like existence between worlds, side by side, within multiple dimensions. When loved ones seeking atonement are taken too soon from this world and forced to cross over, part of their penitence leaves them trapped between worlds, desperately clinging to soul mates left behind. As their song of lover’s lament attempts to hold back the wheel of time, their eternal bond lingers in the ether of fleeting desperation. For now, they are but Wind Talkers, grasping for each other in the mist of dreams and those ephemeral moments between the shadow and the light, between the iridescent hues of twilight and dawn.

Native American proverbs teach us, “Day and night can’t live together,” and “There can be no rainbow without our tears.” True, but I choose to believe that for some of us, “Dreams are the truth, until we awaken.” And as Henry David Thoreau opined, “Our truest life is when we are in dreams awake.” I’m with HDT on this one..

Half a Man

Half A Man

An ambient mix of natural sounds interwoven with peaceful orchestral melodies that guide the listener to slow down and visualize their own inner peace.

Composed and arranged for relaxation, meditation and anxiety management, music soundscapes should present simple, soothing, repetitive patterns that are easy to recognize and lock into with your brain. All of the natural sounds were recorded by me high in the mountains of Colorado - a stream in Rocky Mountain National Park, a mid-summer thunderstorm and the distant songbirds of the alpine meadows interwoven to guide the listener to imagine the divine "unstruck" sounds that arise from within the heart.

This track is about learning how to slow down from the hectic pace that most of us live, and visualize the path we choose for ourselves. Starting with a tempo of 92 bpm, the track gradually slows down to 82 bpm by the end of the song, intended to pull the listener's heartbeat lower, by subconsciously following the music tempo, calming stress levels, and fostering a more therapeutic mind body sensation.

The orchestral effects are all composed on a ROLI Seaboard Rise, allowing 5 audio controls for strike, glide, slide, press and lift - including pitch bends. And if you listen carefully on headphones, you will hear a faint embedded Binaural Beats pairing of tracks - at the beginning and end [even though they continue for the entire song]. They are tuned to Left channel of 82 hz and Right channel of 92 hz, with a Beat Frequency of 7.83 Hz. Ironically, the brain will interpret this pairing as one tone of 87 hz. I'm interested if this track is positive, negative or of no impact of you for meditation and calming -- your input matters a great deal to me, so let me know your comments. 

So sit back, don your best headphones and let this track wash over you as you allow your personal space for the mind and body create your own reality of calm. May the Peace be with you my friends..

Song Inspiration
“Worlds Without End” is driven by a very personal story to me. Several months ago, someone close to me was injured in a tragic accident, resulting in a fractured jaw, broken shoulder and a concussion. With excellent clinical treatment, she is in full recovery. 

However, our time in the hospital was an epiphany for me - experiencing the the disorienting sensory world of the trauma ward, and the anxiety that a Patient a Patient must endure.  Suddenly I realized how the use of technology could improve the experience, for the Patient, the Caregivers and the Hospital Staff.

An ancient tale with a modern twist.. dark poetry, intelligent rap, and multi-layered SFX are entwined with ethereal waves that weave a prophetic tapestry of addiction, despair, and a fleeting hope of recovery from the grip of an epidemic that consumes the lives around us and haunts our soul – we dare not turn away.

There was a crooked man,
he walked a crooked mile.
He made a crooked potion,			
For souls he could defile. 			 

He bought a crooked cat,			
Who caught a crooked mouse.			
And they all mollycoddled, 			
In their little crooked house.

Now the crooked mouse was dying,
From her snow of china white.
No golden girl could save her, 			
From her crooked little plight.

Now The crooked man was sad,
Then he had a crooked thought.
Why should he be jailed as crooked -  
When the others, they were not.

Suicide, genocide.. curse your bloody name,
Money train, ball and chain.. damn your house of shame.
Ritual, habitual.. atonement nevermore,
Murder-8, desecrate..  reaper guarantor.

Invisible, Deplorable.. walk your crooked mile,
Victimize, stigmatize.. banish me exile.
Castigate, incarcerate.. fill your slaughterhouse, 
Crooked cat, crooked mouse.. fuck your crooked house!

There was a crooked man,

Crooked Man

When man alters the natural variation of genetic evolution by splicing in a competing strain of 4 amino acids to mutate a higher probability of reproduction, the events are unnatural, and unintended events can happen. Stay tuned, it's not over yet. 

In my alternate variation of one particular universe, I don't know if it is real, or just a dream. But if it is real, this one's for you, Trevor. Blue is the color, football is the game. We're all together, and winning is our aim. Party on, but don't get above your raising - and keep my flat on Kensington Square tidy, I'll return soon  --
